Sydney-based singer/songwriter Nick Ward has made his feature scoring debut on the upcoming drama Jimpa. The film is directed by Sophie Hyde (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, 52 Tuesdays) and stars Olivia Colman, John Lithgow and Aud Mason-Hyde. The movie follows a mother who takes her nonbinary teenager to Amsterdam to visit their gay grandfather and is forced to reconsider her beliefs about parenting and finally confront old stories about the past. Hyde also co-wrote the screenplay with Matthew Cormack (The Hunting).

The film is directed by Sophie Hyde (52 Tuesdays, Animals) and stars Emma Thompson and Daryl McCormack. The movie follows a retired school teacher yearning for some adventure, human connection and good sex who devises a plan and hires the services of a young sex worker for a night of bliss. Comedian Katy Brand wrote the screenplay.
