Composer Bruno Coulais (Coraline, The Chorus, The Crimson Rivers, Wendell & Wild, Winged Migration) is set to reteam with director Anne Fontaine (Coco Before Chanel, Adore) on the upcoming French drama Boléro. The film stars Raphael Personnaz as in the lead role of Maurice Ravel, as well as Jeanne Balibar, Doria Tillier, Emmanuelle Devos and Vincent Perez. The movie is set in the Roaring 1920s and follows Russian dancer/choreographer Ida Rubinstein as she selects Ravel to compose the music for her next ballet.

Fernando Velazquez Scoring Showtime’s ‘Ghosts of Beirut’
Fernando Velazquez (The Orphanage, The Impossible, A Monster Calls, Crimson Peak, Mama, Devil, Hercules) has composed the original score for the new Showtime limited series Ghosts of Beirut. The show is created by Avi Issacharoff & Lior Raz (Fauda) and stars Dina Shihabi, Dermot Mulroney, Garret Dillahunt, Iddo Goldberg, Hisham Suleiman, Amir Khoury and Rafi Gavron. The 4-part spy drama, which features an innovative narrative approach augmented by journalistic research and documentary elements, reveals the origins of 21-year old Mughniyeh (aka “The Ghost”) who emerged from obscurity and was responsible for more American deaths than any other individual prior to 9/11.
‘Wildfire’ Soundtrack Album Released
ARS Moriendi has released a soundtrack album for the Irish drama Wildfire. The album features the film’s original music composed by Matthew James Kelly (I Am Not a Witch, Pop Aye) & Gareth Averill (Dublin Oldschool). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Wildfire is written and directed by Cathy Brady and stars Nika McGuigan and Nora-Jane Noone. The movie tells the story of two separable sisters whose lives were shattered with the mysterious death of their mother and – years later – are confronted with the family’s traumatic past when of them returns home after being reported missing for a whole year.

Samuel Sim (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Spanish Princess, The Bay, Anne, The Halcyon, The Long Call, Home Fires) is the composer of the new ITV drama Maryland. The show is created by Suranne Jones & Anne-Marie O’Connor and stars Jones herself, Eve Best, Stockard Channing, George Costigan, Dean Lennox Kelly, Hugh Quarshie and Andrew Knott. The 3-part series revolves around two sisters who have grown apart over the years, but through tragic events learn to love and respect one another all over again.

The comedy follows Davidson as he attempts to work through unique family dynamics and the complexities of fame to form meaningful relationships.
‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’ World Premiere Soundtrack Release Announced
La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1993 coming-of-age drama What’s Eating Gilbert Grape directed by Lasse Hallström and starring Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Juliette Lewis, Mary Steenburgen, Darlene Cates and John C. Reilly. The album features the film’s original score composed by Alan Parker (Jaws 3-D, American Gothic) and Björn Isfält (My Life as a Dog, Slingshot), as well as alternate cues. Also included is Isfält’s original unused score written for the movie.

The full details of the score album for Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by John Murphy (The Suicide Squad, 28 Days Later…, Sunshine, Les Miserables, Kick-Ass, Guess Who). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 3 by Hollywood Records & Marvel Music and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services.
