Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated event series ONI: Thunder God’s Tale. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Pep Magic (aka Zach Johnston & Matteo Robert) (The Dam Keeper). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. ONI: Thunder God’s Tale is created by Daisuke ‘Dice’ Tsutsumi and features the voices of Momona Tamada, Craig Robinson, Archie Yates, George Takei, Seth Carr, Tantoo Cardinal and Brittany Ishibashi. The Tonko House & Netflix Animation production is set in a mystical world of Japanese gods and spirits and follows a courageous girl who strives to follow in her mysterious father’s footsteps and find her true powers. Arts Music has released the theme song from the new Nickelodeon animated series Monster High. The track written by Glenda R Proby, Ivan LaFever, Jason W Gleed, Kelsey Kovar, Michael Kotch, Paul Jason Robb & Stefanie Robyn Fink and produced by Stef Fink is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror movie Prey for the Devil directed by Daniel Stamm and starring Jacqueline Byers, Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro, Virginia Madsen, Nicholas Ralph, Lisa Palfrey and Ben Cross. The film’s original music is composed by Nathan Barr (True Blood, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, The Americans, Hollywood, Hemlock Grove, Cabin Fever). Lionsgate Records is set to release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Check out our previous article to learn more about the Lionsgate release.
Also opening wide is the drama Call Jane directed by Phyllis Nagy and starring Elizabeth Banks, Sigourney Weaver, Chris Messina, Kate Mara, Wunmi Mosaku, Cory Michael Smith, John Magaro and Grace Edwards. Isabella Summers (of Florence + the Machine) (Little Fires Everywhere, Physical, The Offer, Sex/Life) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The album features the film’s original music composed by Sebastian Robertson (Survivors Guide to Prison, Condemned) and Daniel Davies (Halloween, Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends, Firestarter). The movie follows a desperate mother who has been haunted by a malevolent spirit since childhood and allows herself to become possessed in order to save the life of her terminally ill daughter. Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for Steven Spielberg’s coming-of-age drama The Fabelmans. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Home Alone). Also included are several classical pieces as featured in the movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 11 (click here to stream/download) and physically on December 9. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version.
