The movie is a continuation of BBC’s Luther TV series (scored by Paul Englishby), which ran between 2010 and 2019, and stars Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Andy Serkis and Dermot Crowley. The crime drama directed by Jamie Payne (The White Princess) and written by series creator Neil Cross (Mama, The Mosquito Coast) follows brilliant but disgraced London police detective John Luther as he breaks out of prison to hunt down a sadistic serial killer.
