Premiering on Wednesday, February 8, is the ABC comedy Not Dead Yet created by Casey Johnson & David Windsor based on the book Confessions of a 40-something F**k Up by Alexandra Potter and starring Gina Rodriguez, Joshua Banday and Angela Gibbs. The show’s original music is composed by Transcenders (Gossip Girl, Madam Secretary, Black-ish, Our Family Wedding). The series, which follows a broke and newly single woman working to restart the life and career she left behind five years ago who starts getting life advice from an unlikely source, will air Wednesday nights on ABC and will also be available to stream on Hulu.

Premiering on Thursday, February 9, is the Netflix animated series My Dad the Bounty Hunter created by Everett Downing & Patrick Harbin and starring Laz Alonso, Yvonne Orji, JeCobi Swain,Priah Ferguson, Rob Riggle, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jim Rash, Jamie Chung and Leslie Uggams. Joshua Mosley (Tuscaloosa, Bernie the Dolphin, Mass Effect: Paragon Lost) has composed the show’s original score. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring selections of Mosley’s score and several songs from the show this past Friday. Simon Goff Scoring BBC’s ‘The Gold’

Simon Goff has composed the original music for the new BBC series The Gold. The show is written by Neil Forsyth (Guilt) and stars Hugh Bonneville, Jack Lowden, Dominic Cooper, Tom Cullen, Charlotte Spencer, Emun Elliott, Sean Harris, Ellora Torchia and Stefanie Martini. The 6-part drama tells the true story of the Brink’s-Mat robbery when six armed men broke into a security depot near London’s Heathrow Airport in 1983 and inadvertently stumbled across gold bullion worth £26m and the decades-long chain of events that followed. ‘Viking Wolf’ Soundtrack Released

Grappa Musikkforlag has released a soundtrack album for the Norwegian horror thriller Viking Wolf (Vikingulven). The album features the film’s original music composed by Kjetil Schjander Luhr (Hamada, Reconstructing Utøya) & Bjørnar Johnsen (Switch, Radiopiratene). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Viking Wolf is co-written and directed by Stig Svendsen and stars Elli Müller Osborne, Liv Mjönes, Arthur Hakalahti, Vidar Magnussen, Mia Fosshaug Laubacher, Sjur Vatne Brean and Øyvind Brandtzæg. Opening in theaters nationwide today is the horror thriller Knock at the Cabin co-written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Abby Quinn, Rupert Grint, Nikki Amuka-Bird and Kristen Cui. The film’s original music is composed by Herdís Stefánsdóttir (Y: The Last Man, The Essex Serpent, The Sun Is Also a Star, We’re Here). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Check out our previous article for the full album details and to learn more about the Universal Pictures release.

Also opening wide is the comedy 80 for Brady directed by Kyle Marvin and starring Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Jane Fonda, Sally Field, Billy Porter and Tom Brady. John Debney (Elf, The Jungle Book, The Passion of the Christ, Hocus Pocus, Iron Man 2) has composed the film’s original score. BMG has released the original song Gonna Be You written by Diane Warren and performed by Dolly Parton, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper, Gloria Estefan & Debbie Harry from the movie last month. Joseph Shirley Scoring ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3

Joseph Shirley has recently been scoring the third season of Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original series The Mandalorian. The composer has previously provided additional music to the first two seasons of the show as part of Ludwig Göransson’s team. While the full Season 3 music credits have not been confirmed yet, our understanding is that it will be similar to last year’s The Book of Boba Fett with Shirley being credited as the score composer and Göransson for providing the themes. J.I.D.’s & Lute’s ‘Ma Boy’ from ‘Creed III’ Soundtrack Released

Dreamville & Interscope Records have released the first song from the soundtrack for the boxing drama Creed III. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is Ma Boy performed by Dreamville artists J.I.D. and Lute. Also listen to the song after the jump. Martin Phipps Scoring Ridley Scott’s ‘Napoleon’

Martin Phipps (The Crown, Woman in Gold, Victoria, The Honourable Woman, War & Peace, Peaky Blinders) has composed the original music for the upcoming historical drama Napoleon. The film is directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator, Blade Runner) and stars Joaquin Phoenix in the title role, Vanessa Kirby as Empress Josephine, alongside Tahar Rahim, Youssef Kerkour, Edouard Philipponnat, John Hollingworth and Alfredo Tavares. Tiny Habits’ Original Song ‘Embers’ from Netflix’s ‘Your Place or Mine’ Released

Netflix Music has released the original song Embers from the streamer’s new original film Your Place or Mine. The track written by the film’s composer Siddhartha Khosla (This Is Us, Only Murders in the Building), director Aline Brosh McKenna & Alan DeMoss and performed by Tiny Habits is now available to stream/download (in two different versions) on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The movie is based on the graphic novel series by Alexis Nolent (a.k.a Matz) and illustrated by Luc Jacamon and stars Michael Fassbender, Charles Parnell, Sophie Charlotte, Arliss Howard and Tilda Swinton. ‘Infiesto’ Soundtrack Released

Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish Netflix original film Infiesto. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Sergio Moure de Oteyza (Extinction, Feedback, Kidnapped, The Body, Thesis on a Homicide). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Infiesto is directed by Patxi Amezcua and stars Isak Férriz, Iria del Río, Juan Fernández, Ana Villa, Ismael Fritschi, María Mera and Isabel Naveira. The thriller follows two detectives whose lives are upended by coronavirus as they doggedly pursue those responsible for an abduction they realize is part of a sinister pattern.
