Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original film Heart of Stone. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Steven Price (Gravity, Our Planet, Last Night in Soho, Baby Driver, Suicide Squad, Fury, The Aeronauts, Over the Moon). Also included is Noga Erez’s opening titles song Quiet, which has previously been released as a digital single by Atlantic Records. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 11 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Ti Piment has released a soundtrack album for the French drama The Path of Excellence (La voie royale). The album features the film’s original music composed by Audrey Ismaël (Angel Face, Vortex, Germinal, Chacun pour tous, Gloria). Robbie Robertson has passed away today at age 80. The songwriter, composer and guitarist who was best known as a member of the rock group The Band and his solo records has worked on numerous films directed by Martin Scorsese over the last couple of decades. He has scored the director’s 1986 feature The Color of Money, as well as his last two movies, 2019’s The Irishman and the upcoming Killers of the Flower Moon, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in theaters on October 6. Schulz and directed by Bill Melendez & Phil Roman. Sony Classical will release a new “extended edition” of the score album for the animated feature Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The album features the film’s original score composed by Daniel Pemberton (Enola Holmes, Steve Jobs, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Birds of Prey, Ocean’s 8, The Trial of the Chicago 7), including three previously unreleased tracks. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 10 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. In related news, a vinyl edition of the score album is scheduled to come out on November 17 and is available for pre-order here. A CD version will be available to order here soon. The label, which has also announced a release of the album in Sony 360RA & Dolby Atmos formats on August 10, has previously released the original score album in June, while Republic Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from and inspired by the movie.
