Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi, Jack Dylan Grazer, Asher Angel, Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Ross Butler, D.J. Cotrona and Djimon Hounsou. The film’s original music is composed by Christophe Beck (Ant-Man series, Frozen, WandaVision, Free Guy, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover). . Opening semi-wide in around 800 theaters is the comedy drama Moving On written and directed by Paul Weitz and starring Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Malcolm McDowell and Richard Roundtree. Amanda Jones (Naomi, Super/Natural, Twenties, Good Trouble, Adventure Time: Distant Lands, Somebody Somewhere) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows two estranged friends who reunite to seek revenge on the petulant widower of their recently deceased best friend, premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is being released by Roadside Attractions. Atlantic Screen Music will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi action thriller Assassin. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Tewarson (Momentum Generation).
