Also listen to the composer’s first track below. I Would Rather Die is created and directed by Sebastián Sariñana and stars Fernanda Castillo, Diego Bernal, Lilith Curiel and Farah Justiniani. The coming-of-age horror comedy is set in a quiet provincial town and follows a misfit who gets bitten by a zombie and after briefly considering ending his life, he decides he’s going to figure out what the hell is happening to his body.

Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for the Mexican Disney+/Hulu original series Quebranto. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Camilo Lara (aka Mexican Institute of Sound) (A Million Miles Away, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip, Gentefied, La Liberación, Going Varsity in Mariachi). Also included is the title song written by Luisa Almaguer and produced by Lara. Premiering in the U.S tonight is the British TV series Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light adapted for television by Peter Straughan, directed by Peter Kosminsky and starring Mark Rylance, Damian Lewis, Jonathan Pryce, Harriet Walter, Timothy Spall, Charlie Rowe, Kate Phillips, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Lilit Lesser, Harry Melling and Alex Jennings. The show’s original music is composed and conducted by Debbie Wiseman (Wilde, Adventures of Arsene Lupin, Dickensian, Father Brown, Vampire Killers, Haunted, Flood). Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Camilo Lara (aka Mexican Institute of Sound) (A Million Miles Away, La Liberación, Going Varsity in Mariachi) has composed original music for the upcoming Disney+ original movie Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip. The film is directed by Marvin Lemus and stars Eva Longoria, Jesse Garcia, Paulina Chávez, Cristo Fernández, Rose Portillo, Harvey Guillén, Michelle Buteau, Mabel Cadena, Thom Nemer and Cheech Marin. The family comedy follows the 11-year-old title character and his family as they embark on a dream Spring Break vacation to Mexico City only to have all their plans go terribly wrong when they discover a cursed idol.

Mexico City-based DJ, electronic music producer and composer Camilo Lara has provided the original score to the upcoming Amazon original movie A Million Miles Away. The film is directed by Alejandra Márquez Abella (The Good Girls, Northern Skies Over Empty Space) and stars Michael Peña, Rosa Salazar, Bobby Soto, Veronica Falcón, Sarayu Blue, Julio César Cedillo, Garret Dillahunt and Eric Johnson. The biographical drama is based on NASA flight engineer José Hernández’s book Reaching for the Stars: The Inspiring Story of a Migrant Farmworker Turned Astronaut by and chronicles his journey from a devoted family of proud migrant farm workers from a rural village in Mexico, to the fields of the San Joaquin Valley, to more than 200 miles above the Earth in the International Space Station.
