Decca Classics has released the official album of The Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III & Queen Camilla. The album produced by Anna Barry features all the music from the historic ceremony recorded this past Saturday, May 6, at Westminster Abbey, including the newly composed pieces of music (six orchestral commissions, five choral commissions and one organ commission). Among the the commissions are pieces by film/TV composers Patrick Doyle (Sense and Sensibility, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Cinderella, Henry V), Debbie Wiseman (Wilde, Wolf Hall, Vampire Killers, Adventures of Arsene Lupin) and Nigel Hess (Maigret, Ladies in Lavender). Netflix has released the official music video for the orchestral version of If I Ain’t Got You by Alicia Keys from the Netflix limited series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. The cover was recorded with a newly formed 74-piece Global Orchestra, made up entirely of women of color, on the 20th anniversary of the song. The track is now available as a digital single on all major digital music platforms (including Amazon) and is also included on the Covers from the Netflix Series soundtrack album, which has been released last Thursday. Premiering on Wednesday, May 10, is the FX limited series Class of ’09 created by Tom Rob Smith and starring Brian Tyree Henry, Kate Mara, Jon Jon Briones, Sepideh Moafi, Brian J. Smith, Brooke Smith, Jake McDorman and Rosalind Eleazar. The show’s original music is composed by Will Bates (The Magicians, Unbelievable, Away, The Path, The Looming Tower, I Origins). Check out our previous article to learn more about the 8-part thriller, which will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu.
Also premiering on Wednesday is the Disney+ original series The Muppets Mayhem developed by Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta & Jeff Yorkes and starring Lilly Singh, Tahj Mowry, Eric Jacobson, Saara Chaudry and Barretta himself. Mick Giacchino (Extinct, Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow, Zootopia+) has composed the show’s original score. Hellhole is co-written and directed by Bartosz M. Kowalski and stars Piotr Żurawski, Olaf Lubaszenko, Sebastian Stankiewicz, Rafał Iwaniuk, Lech Dyblik and Krzysztof Satała. The movie is set in 1987 Poland and follows a police officer investigating mysterious disappearances who infiltrates a remote monastery and discovers a dark truth about its clergy.
