Music producer and composer Raül Refree (One Year, One Night, Between Two Waters) is attached to score the upcoming Spanish drama La Bola Negra (The Black Ball). The film is directed by Los Javis (aka Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi) (Holy Camp!) will star Penelope Cruz, Guitarricadelafuente, Miguel Bernardeau, Carlos González and Lola Dueñas. The movie is inspired by an unfinished play by Federico García Lorca and tells the interconnected stories of three men across three different eras whose lives are intimately bound by sexuality and desire, pain and legacy. Calvo & Ambrossi are also producing the Movistar Plus+, Suma Content Films & Le Pacte production. Refree has previously collaborated with Los Javis on the V series The Messiah. La Bola Negra will start shooting this August and is set to be released in 2026. (Deadline)
