Nicolas Repetto (The Sound of Identity, The Reunion) has released a soundtrack album for the documentary A Run for More. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on most major digital music services, including Amazon. A Run for More is directed by Ray Whitehouse and follows the story of Frankie Gonzales-Wolfe, the first openly transgender woman running for city council in San Antonio, Texas. Cellist, singer/songwriter and composer Ben Sollee has recently scored the upcoming crime comedy Maggie Moore(s). The film marks the second directorial effort of actor John Slattery (following 2014’s Nathan Larson-scored God’s Pocket) and stars Jon Hamm, Tina Fey, Micah Stock, Happy Anderson, Nick Mohammed and Mary Holland. The movie marks the directorial debut of Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto (The Wolf of Wall Street, The Irishman) and stars Manuel García-Rulfo in the title role, alongside Tenoch Huerta, Ilse Salas, Mayra Batalla, Roberto Sosa, Héctor Kotsifakis, Dolores Heredia, Noé Hernández, Giovanna Zacarías and Yoshira Escárrega. The drama is based on the novel by Juan Rulfo about a man who travels to his recently deceased mother’s hometown to find his father, only to come across a literal ghost town.
