Reprise Records has announced a soundtrack album for the documentary Neil Young: Coastal. The album features eleven Neil Young songs including Song X, Expecting to Fly, I Am a Child, Throw Your Hatred Down and Prime of Life. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically (on CD and vinyl) on April 18. Visit Amazon to preorder the album in all formats. Neil Young: Coastal is directed by Daryl Hannah and follows Young as he cruises the coast on his 2023 solo US tour. The movie gives an intimate view of the maverick musician, as he navigates a return to the stage post-Covid, from his everyday observations on the bus to his candid banter with his audience.

Five new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the sci-fi action adventure Pacific Rim Uprising directed by Steven S. DeKnight and starring John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Cailee Spaeny, Rinko Kikuchi, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona and Charlie Day. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Home, 12 Strong, Terminator Genisys, Genius, The Crown). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by Wizkid, DJ Shadow and Anderson .Paak. Click here for the full album details.
Also opening wide is the animated feature Sherlock Gnomes directed by John Stevenson and featuring the voices of James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Maggie Smith, Michael Caine, Ashley Jensen, Matt Lucas, Stephen Merchant, Mary J. Blige and Johnny Depp. Chris Bacon (Source Code, Bates Motel) who previously co-scored Gnomeo & Juliet has composed the film’s original score. Elton John has composed new songs for the project, including the track Stronger Than I Ever Was, which is performed by Mary J. Blige. No word yet on a soundtrack release.
‘Paradox’ Soundtrack Announced
Reprise Records will release a soundtrack album for the musical drama Paradox. The album features the film’s music composed by Neil Young + Promise of the Real, including new material written for the movie, as well as studio and live performances of past work. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 23, 2018 and physically on April 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Paradox is written and directed by Daryl Hannah and stars Neil Young, Lukas Nelson, Micah Nelson, Corey McCormick, Anthony LoGerfo, Tato Melgar, Willie Nelson, Charris Ford and Dulcie Clarkson Ford. The movie follows a band of outlaws hiding high up in the mountains as they pass the hours searching for treasure while they wait for the full moon to lend its magic, bring the music and make the spirits fly.
