Grammy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard (Malcolm X, BlacKkKlansman, Da Five Bloods, 25th Hour, Malcolm X, Perry Mason) serves as the primary artist and arranger of the album, which features performances by Julian Gosin, Victor Goines, Clinton Maegden, Herlin Riley, Charlie Gabriel, Ronell Johnson & others and also includes the original song Special Spice written by PJ Morton and performed by The Princess and the Frog‘s original Tiana, Anika Noni Rose (previously released as a digital single). Sony Classical has announced the premiere vinyl edition of the score album for Sam Raimi’s 2004 superhero movie Spider-Man 2 starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Alfred Molina, James Franco, Rosemary Harris and Donna Murphy. The album featuring the film’s original music composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) is being released to coincide with the sequel’s 20th anniversary and features a soft-touch jacket with UV spot-gloss webbing on the front cover, along with a 12×12 credit insert showcasing photos from the film.
