Alan Silvestri (Back to the FutureForrest Gump, Avengers: Endgame, Predator, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cast AwayThe Polar Express) has been tapped to score the upcoming crime thriller Play Dirty. The film is directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) and stars Mark Wahlberg, LaKeith Stanfield, Rosa Salazar, Tony Shalhoub, Nat Wolff, Dermot Mulroney, Keegan-Michael Key, Chukwudi Iwuji and Thomas Jane. The movie is based on Donald E. Westlake’s Parker novels and revolves around a professional thief who – after being double-crossed and left for dead – sees his hunt for revenge bring with it a shot at the biggest heist of his career. Black also co-wrote the screenplay with Charles Mondry & Anthony Bagarozzi (Road House, The Nice Guys). Jules Daly (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, The Grey) and Marc Toberoff (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Piranha 3D) are producing the project. Silvestri has previously scored the Black-scripted and -produced The Long Kiss Goodbye. Play Dirty is currently in post-production and is expected to be released this year by Amazon MGM Studios.
