Composer Graham Reynolds is reteaming with director Richard Linklater (Boyhood, Before Sunrise) on the upcoming biographical drama Blue Moon. The film starring Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale & Andrew Scott tells the story of lyricist Lorenz Hart bravely facing the future as his professional and private life unravel during the opening night party for his former partner Richard Rodgers’ hit show Oklahoma!. Robert Kaplow (Me and Orson Welles) wrote the screenplay. Linklater is also producing the project with Mike Blizzard (Apollo 10½: A Space Age Childhood) and John Sloss (The Sympathizer, Wonderstruck). Reynolds has previously collaborated with the director on such films as A Scanner Darkly, Bernie, Hit Man, Last Flag Flying, Before Midnight and Where’d You Go, Bernadette. Blue Moon will premiere this month at the Berlin Film Festival and will be distributed in the U.S. by Sony Pictures Classics.
