Milan Records has announced a soundtrack release for the documentary Fastest. The album features the score composed by tomandandy (Resident Evil: Afterlife, The Strangers). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 1, 2011 and a CD version is scheduled for a December 6 release and is available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips from all tracks on the album can be checked out after the jump. Fastest is directed by Mark Neale who previously helmed the 2003 documentary Faster. The movie about the intense and thrilling reality of the MotoGP World Championship, documenting a pivotal moment in the sport was shot around the world in 2010 and 2011 and is narrated by Ewan McGregor. Elia Cmiral to Score ‘Piranha 3DD’

Elia Cmiral has been hired to score the horror sequel Piranha 3DD. The movie is directed by John Gulager who is best known for helming the Feast trilogy. Ving Rhames, Christopher Llyod and Paul Scheer are reprising their roles from last year’s original film. They are joined by new cast members Danielle Panabaker, Gary Busey, Katrina Bowden, David Koechner, Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, Megan Tandy and David Hasselhoff. The film is reportedly set in a newly opened waterpark. Marcus Dunston and Patrick Melton (Saw IV, V, VI and The Final Chapter) wrote the project’s screenplay and Mark Canton (300, Immortals), Joel Soisson (Dracula 2000) and Marc Toberoff (My Favorite Martian) are producing. Three movies are opening in wide release this weekend:
Opening in most theaters this week is Dreamworks Animation’s Puss in Boots directed by Chris Miller and featuring the voice talent of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galifianakis and Billy Bob Thornton. The film’s music is composed by Henry Jackman. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring Jackman’s music, as well as two tracks by Rodrigo y Gabriela this past Tuesday. Also opening wide is the sci-fi thriller In Time directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Olivia Wilde, Cillian Murphy and Alex Pettyfer. The film’s score is composed by Craig Armstrong. A soundtrack album featuring Armstrong’s music has been released digitally earlier this week by Lakeshore Records. ‘A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas’ Soundtracks Announced

Watertower Music has announced the details for the soundtrack album of the comedy A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. The album features songs from the movie performed by RZA & Da’vone Mc Donald, Bing Crosby, Augie Rios, Johnny Mathis, CJ Webbe and Neil Patrick Harris who also stars in the film . Also included on the release is one track by Paul Oakenfold and the film’s composer William Ross. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 1, 2011 on Amazon and iTunes. Nathaniel Mechaly to Score ‘The Transporter’ TV series

Nathaniel Mechaly has signed on to score the upcoming TV adaptation of Luc Besson’s action franchise The Transporter. The show centers on professional transporter Frank Martin, who opertates in a seedy underworld of dangerous criminals and desperate players. Chris Vance (Prison Break stars in the title role that was played by Jason Statham in the film series. Andrea Osvart, Francois Berleand (Tell No One), who will reprise his role as Inspector Tarconi from the Transporter features, Delphine Chaneac (Splice) and Rachel Skarsten (Birds of Prey) are co-starring. Stephen Williams (Lost) directed the pilot and Luc Besson is among the executive producers on the show. Carter Burwell’s ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -Part 1’ Score Coming in December

Atlantic Records will be releasing a score album for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -Part 1. The music is composed by Carter Burwell who previously scored the first installment in the series directed by Catherine Hardwicke. The soundtrack will be released on December 13, 2011 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. Check back for the cover art and track list to be revealed on this page within the next couple of weeks. As previously reported, a soundtrack with songs from the movie and one track of Burwell’s score is coming out on November 8. The album will be live-streamed this Saturday on the official Facebook movie page. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 directed by Bill Condon and starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Michael Sheen, Anna Kendrick and Ashley Greene will be released in theaters on November 18. Watertower Music will be releasing the soundtrack for the animated feature Happy Feet Two. The album features the original score by composer John Powell who is also involved in the film’s songs performed by the movie’s voice cast including Pink, Robin Williams, Hank Azaria and Benjamin Flores. In addition, a new version of the hit song Tightrope by R&B artist Janelle Monáe is also included on the soundtrack. Edward Shearmur is scoring the upcoming TV drama Have a Little Faith. The movie directed by Jon Avnet (Fried Green Tomatoes, Up Close & Personal) is based on the best-selling book by Mitch Albom (Tuesdays with Morrie, The Five People You Meet in Heaven) and stars Laurence Fishburne as a Detroit teacher who overcame a life mired in drugs and crime. Bradley Whitford portrays Mitch Albom who met the reverend-in-recovery when he wrote newspaper columns about homeless people and homeless shelters. Anika Noni Rose and Martin Landau are co-starring in the Hallmark Hall of Fame production. Madison Gate Records has released the official soundtrack album for Roland Emmerich’s period thriller Anonymous. The album features the original score by composers Harald Kloser and Thomas Wander. The album is available as an on demand CD-R on Amazon, as well as digitally on iTunes. Anonymous stars Rhys Ifans, Joely Richardson, Vanessa Redgrave, Jamie Campbell Bower and David Thewlis and revolves around the widespread theory that William Shakespeare was not the real author of his plays. Gabriel Yared and Cyrille Aufort are co-scoring the historical drama A Royal Affair. The film directed by Nicolaj Arcel (King’s Game, screenwriter of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) centers on the affair between Chr. VII’s German physician, Johan Struensee, and the English born queen of Denmark, Caroline Mathilda in the early 1770’s. The movie stars Mads Mikkelsen as Johan Struensee and Alicia Vikander as Caroline Mathilda. Trine Dyrholm and David Dencik are co-starring and Graum Jørgensen (In a Better World, Meta Louise Foldager (Melancholia and Peter Aalbæk Jensen are producing the Zentropa Entertainment production.
