‘Hysteria’ Soundtrack Details

Lakeshore Records has announced the details of the soundtrack release for the British romantic comedy Hysteria. The album includes the original score from the movie composed by Christian Henson (The Devil’s Double). The soundtrack is coming out digitally on May 15, 2012. The CD version is scheduled to be released on June 12 and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. Audio clips will be added to this article within the next two weeks. Hysteria is directed by Tanya Wexler and stars Hugh Dancy, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jonathan Pryce, Rupert Everett and Felicity Jones. The German film music magazine Cinema Musica has published audio clips from all 22 tracks of the soundtrack album for the sci-fi comedy sequel Men in Black 3. Michael Andrews is currently scoring the upcoming political thriller The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The film is directed by Mira Nair and stars Kate Hudson, Riz Ahmed, Kiefer Sutherland, Liev Schreiber, Martin Donovan and Om Puri. The film based on Mohsin Hamid’s novel with the same title follows a young Pakistani man working on Wall Street and chasing the American dream, whose life is fateful changed by the September 11 attacks. William Wheeler (The Hoax) and Ami Boghani have adapted the material for the screen and Lydia Dean Pilcher (The Darjeeling Limited, The Namesake) is producing the film. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for Richard Linklater’s indie comedy drama Bernie. The album features the film’s original score composed by Graham Reynolds (A Scanner Darkly), as well as a number of songs performed by lead actor Jack Black. Also included are songs by Dale Watson, Heybale!, Mitote and Miss Leslie. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 15, 2012 and physically on June 12. The CD version is available for pre-order on Amazon. Bernie stars Black as a mortician in a small-town in Texas who strikes up a friendship with a wealthy widow. The album features the film’s songs by artists including Big Troubles, The Ettes, Vex Rufflin, Dan Deacon, Seapony, The Fruhstucks, Class Actress and Shilpa Ray & Her Happy Hookers, as well as one track from the score by Fall On Your Sword. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 29, 2012 followed by a physical release on June 12. As reported earlier this week, the label is also releasing a separate score album featuring Fall On Your Sword’s original music from the film. Lola Versus is directed by Daryl Wein and stars Greta Gerwig, Joel Kinnaman, Zoe Lister-Jones, Hamish Linklater, Bill Pullman and Debra Winger. Blake Neely to Score USA’s ‘Political Animals’

Blake Neely is set to score USA’s upcoming mini-series Political Animals. The series stars Sigourney Weaver as a divorced former First Lady and the current Secretary of State who struggles to keep her family together while simultaneously dealing with the crises of the State Department. Ellen Burstyn, Carla Gugino, James Wolk, Adrian Pasar, Roger Bart, Dan Futterman and Ciaran Hinds are co-starring. The project reunites the composer with frequent collaborator Greg Berlanti who is executive producing the drama, as well as writing and directing the first episode. Neely and Berlanti have previously worked together on TV shows including Everwood, No Ordinary Heroes and Brothers & Sisters, as well as the feature film Life as We Know It.
