Audika Records will be releasing a soundtrack for the indie drama Keep the Lights On. The album features the film’s songs by late New York City musician Arthur Russell. The soundtrack will be released on September 4, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips from all 9 tracks on the album can be checked out below. Keep the Lights On is directed by Ira Sachs (Married Life) and stars Thure Lindhardt and Zachary Booth as two men who struggle through love, addiction and friendship. The film premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and has been picked up by Music Box for domestic distribution. The movie will be released in select cities on September 7, 2012. Deborah Lurie has taken over scoring duties on the teen comedy Fun Size. The film marks the directorial feature debut of Josh Schwartz (The O.C.) and stars Victoria Justice, Chelsea Handler, Riki Lindhome, Johnny Knoxville, Josh Pence, Thomas Mann and Jane Levy. The movie follows a teenage girl who loses her brother after being forced to take him out for trick-or-treating on Halloween. Schwartz is producing the Anonymous Content/Fake Empire production with Stephanie Savage, Bard Dorros and David Kanter. Lurie is replacing composer Lyle Workman who was previously attached to score the comedy. Fun Size will be released nationwide on October 26, 2012 by Paramount Pictures. Mateo Messina has signed on to score the indie comedy A Case of You. The film is directed by Kat Coiro and stars Justin Long, Evan Rachel Wood, Vince Vaughn, Peter Dinklage, Sam Rockwell, Sienna Miller, Brendan Fraser, Keir O’Donnell and Busy Phillips. The movie follows a young writer who tries to impress a girl he meets online with an embellished profile, but finds himself in trouble when she falls for him and he has to keep up the act. Long and O’Donnell have written the script with Long’s younger brother Christian and they are also producing the project with Holly Wiersma (Bobby, Bug), Logan Levy and Jessie Kennedy (Stolen). The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and the California Film Institute have announced a new partnership to produce the first-ever Mill Valley ASCAP Music Café, a series of music showcases at this year’s Mill Valley Film Festival (October 4-14). The Mill Valley ASCAP Music Café will take place from October 11-13 and feature an assortment of composers, songwriters and artists from across the musical spectrum and around the world. It will be dedicated to showcasing the exceptional talent of emerging and established artists, including solo acts and major bands, and it will be a place where independent filmmakers can meet and interact with composers and songwriters to encourage collaboration between these two creative communities. Milan Records will be releasing a soundtrack album for the French comedy The Day I Saw Your Heart. The album features the film’s original score composed by Nathan Johnson (Brick, the upcoming Looper), as well as the movie’s songs by artists including Regina Spektor, Cat Stevens, Feadz and Faux Fix. The soundtrack will be released on September 4, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips from the album. The Day I Saw Your Heart (Le soudain tout le monde me manque) is written and diredted by Jennifer Devoldere and stars Melanie Laurent, Michel Blanc, Florence Loiret-Caille, Claude Perron and Guillame Gouix. Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the FOX sci-fi mystery series Fringe. The album features selections from the show’s music from the fourth season composed by Chris Tilton who has been the sole composer of the series since its second season. Sean Callery has recently received his 12th Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Main Title Theme Music category for his opening titles music for Showtime’s critically acclaimed original series Homeland. Mercury Classics has announced a soundtrack album for the Danish television series The Killing (Forbrydelsen). The album features the selections of the score from the show composed by Frans Bak who also scored the American adaptation of the series starring Mireille Enos, Joel Kinnaman and Michelle Forbes for AMC. The soundtrack will be released overseas on October 11, 2012 and Decca Records is releasing the album in the US on October 30. To pre-order the CD, visit Amazon. The Killing is created by Søren Sveistrup and stars Sofie Gråbøl, Søren Malling, Lars Mikkelsen, Bjarne Henriksen, Ann Eleonora Jørgensen and Morten Suurballe. Aaron Zigman has composed the score for Nick Cassavetes’ upcoming indie drama Yellow. The movie stars Heather Wahlquist as a young substitute teacher who escapes from her drudging everyday life by fantasizing bizarre parallel realities. Sienna Miller, Gena Rowlands, Ray Liotta, David Morse, Lucy Punch, Max Theoriot, Riley Keough, Daveigh Chase  and Melanie Griffith are also starring in the film. Wahlquist has also co-written the screenplay with Cassavetes and Manu Kumaran, Chris Hanley (American Psycho), Jordan Gertner (the upcoming Spring Breakers) are producing the independent production. The track list of the soundtrack album for Walt Disney Pictures’ stop-motion animated 3D feature Frankenweenie has been revealed. The album features 22 tracks from the original score composed by Danny Elfman. The soundtrack will be released on September 25, 2012 by Walt Disney Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips will be added to this article in a few weeks. As previously announced, the label is also releasing a second soundtrack album featuring the movie’s songs. Frankenweenie directed by Tim Burton and starring Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short and Winona Ryder follows a pet dog who is brought back to life by his loyal owner after it is struck by a car.
