J-2 Music will release a new soundtrack album for the NBC drama Parenthood. The album includes songs featured in the show by artists including Delta Rae, Lyle Lovett, CeeLo Green, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Glen Hansard, A Fine Frenzy, Emile Millar and more. Alan Silvestri to Score ‘Run All Night’

Alan Silvestri has been tapped to score the upcoming action thriller Run All Night. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and stars Liam Neeson, Joel Kinnaman, Ed Harris, Common and Natalie Martinez. The movie follows an aging hitman who is forced to take on his brutal former boss to protect his estranged son and his family. Brad Inglesby (Out of the Furnace) has written the screenplay and Roy Lee (The Strangers, The Lake House, Oldboy) is producing the Vertigo Entertainment and with Brooklyn Weaver. John Debney’s ‘Hocus Pocus’ Score Released

Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for Walt Disney Pictures’ 1993 Halloween comedy Hocus Pocus directed by Kenny Ortega and starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. The album features the film’s complete score composed and conducted by John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, Elf). The score also features the Garden Of Magic theme composed by James Horner, which Debney adapted in portions of his own original score. Also included on the soundtrack are a number of alternates, including a never-before-heard alternate end credits piece. Rolfe Kent has signed on to score the upcoming fantasy adventure Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters. The film based on the best-selling young adult novel series by Richelle Mead is directed by Mark Waters (The Spiderwick Chronicles) and stars Zoey Deutch and Lucy Fry as the lead characters Rose and Lissa. Danila Kozlovski, Olga Kurylenko, Sarah Hyland, Gabriel Byrne and Joely Richardson are co-starring. The movie follows a teen who has a mental and spiritual bond with her vampire best friend and attends a special school for vampires who are attempting to keep some of their humanity while other of their species are becoming more wild. Columbia Records will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror thriller Carrie. The album features the film’s songs by such artists as Rogue Wave, Vampire Weekend, Passion Pit, The Naked and Famous, The Civil Wars, Matrimony, Lord Huron and Krewella. The soundtrack will be released on October 15, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce and stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde and Ansel Elgort. The movie is a reimagining of Stephen King’s classic horror tale about Carrie White, a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Ah 2 Music will release a score album for the family drama Grace Unplugged. The soundtrack features the film’s original orchestral score composed and conducted by Jeff Lippencott. As previously reported, Sparrow Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film. Grace Unplugged is directed by Brad J. iZLER revealed in a recent interview with Billboard that he will be scoring Showtime’s upcoming environmental documentary series Years of Living Dangerously. The show will explore the effects of climate change in different parts of the world. Relativity Music Group will release the official soundtrack album for Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s indie comedy Don Jon. The album features the film’s original score composed by Nathan Johnson (Looper, Brick, The Brothers Bloom). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 8, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Don Jon is written and directed by Gordon-Levitt who also stars in the film alongside Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Tony Danza and Brie Larson. The movie follows a porn-addicted, modern day Don Juan who sets out to become a less selfish person after meeting a recently widowed older woman.
