Saleka (aka Saleka Shyamalan) and composer James Newton Howard have written an original song for the upcoming supernatural romantic thriller Remain. The track, entitled So Alive, is produced by Saleka & Jon Maguire, performed by Saleka & singer/songwriter Calum Scott, and is featured during the end credits of the film is written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Phoebe Dynevor, Ashley Walters, Jay O. Sanders and Julie Hagerty. The movie based on a story by the director & Nicholas Sparks follows an reclusive architect who moves to small coastal town to complete his latest project and encounters an alluring young woman who pulls him out of his shell, and into the center of a deadly mystery that hangs over the town. Saleka has previously contributed songs to her father’s features Old & Trap (as Lady Raven) and the Apple TV+ series Servant. Howard has recorded his score earlier this year at Abbey Road Studios in London. Remain will be released in theaters nationwide on February 5, 2027 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
