Mirjam Skal (Les courageux, Enjoy Your Stqy, Vracht, Blind, Der Engelmacher) has released a soundtrack album for the Swiss/Canadian drama 111 – Echoes from Halifax. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to Skal’s “prologue” track after the jump. 111 – Echoes from Halifax is co-written and directed by Mauro Mueller and stars Ursina Lardi, Kris Holden-Ried, Natalie Brown, Anatole Taubman, Djebril Zonga, Fathia Youssouf, Martha Irving, Rebecca Liddiard and Sandra Zellweger. The movie explores the lives forever altered by the 1998 Swissair Flight 111 crash into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Halifax, sending shockwaves far beyond the wreckage. The drama just premiered earlier this month at the Atlantic International Film Festival and will be released in Swiss theaters this Thursday, October 1. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
