Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Japanese/French anime feature We Are Aliens. The album features the film’s original music composed by Yaffle (aka Youki Kojima) (A Strange House, Character). We Are Aliens is written and directed by Kohei Kadowaki and features the voices of Ryōta Bandō and Amane Okayama. The movie follows two best friends from elementary school who drift apart, only to reunite decades later as adults, confronting 30 years of forgotten memories and unforgettable feelings. The animated drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Directors’ Fortnight (and also screened at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival) and just opened in Japanese theaters last weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
