Edward Shearmur is reteaming with director Iain Softley on the upcoming Curve. The film stars Julianne Hough & Teddy Sears and follows a young bride-to-be who is trapped in her overturned car off a deserted highway after deliberately crashing it in an attempt to escape a predatory hitchhiker. Jeff Russo to Score USA’s ‘Complications’

Jeff Russo has been hired to score the upcoming USA drama Complications. The show is created by Matt Nix (Burn Notice) and stars Jason O’Mara, Jessica Szohr, Beth Riesgraf and Lauren Stamile. The series follows a disillusioned suburban ER doctor who finds his existence transformed when he intervenes in a drive-by shooting, saving a young boy’s life and killing one of his attackers. MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the Lifetime original movie Wishin’ and Hopin’. The album features the film’s original music composed and orchestrated by Matthew Llewellyn (Deep in the Darkness, Dead Souls). The score was recorded with the Slovakia National Symphony Orchestra. The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 2, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out audio clips after the jump. Wishin’ and Hopin’ is directed by Colin Theys and stars Molly Ringwald, Wyatt Ralff, Danny Nucci, Krysta Rodriguez, Meat Loaf, Annabella Sciorra, Cheri Oteri, Conchata Ferrell and Camila Banus. Mica Levi to Conduct ‘Under the Skin’ Score Live to Picture

On January 6, 2015, Mica Levi will be conducting her score for Jonathan Glazer’s sci-fi thriller Under the Skin live to picture with a 25-piece orchestra. The live performance will take place at the newly opened Regent Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. The first concert is set to start at 7:30pm and is followed by a second performance at 11:00pm Wordless Music and Spaceland Productions are co-presenting the event. Tickets go on sale November 19th. John Paesano has been tapped to score the upcoming sports drama My All American. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Angelo Pizzo (Rudy, Hoosiers, The Game of Their Lives) and stars Aaron Eckhart, Finn Wittrock, Robin Tunney and Sarah Bolger. The movie tells the true story of 1960s University of Texas football star Freddie Steinmark and his relationship with legendary Texas coach Darrell Royal. Steinmark was a player on the national-title-winning 1969 team, before his career was cut short when he went to the hospital for a bone bruise and learned that he had a cancerous tumor that took his leg. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the Australian crime thriller Son of a Gun. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jed Kurzel (The Snowtown Murders, The Babadook, Macbeth). The soundtrack is already available in Australia and will be released in several European territories later this month. The album will be released digitally in the U.S. on December 9, 2014 and is available for pre-order on Amazon. To pre-order a CD version, which will be coming out in early 2015, click here. Nonesuch Records will release the official soundtrack album for Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice. The album features the film’s original music composed by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood who previously scored Anderson’s There Will Be Blood and The Master. Also included are the songs from the film by artists including Neil Young, Can, The Marketts, Minnie Riperton & more. The soundtrack will be released on December 15, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Inherent Vice is written and directed by Anderson and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Katherine Waterston, Reese Witherspoon, Benicio Del Toro, Martin Short, Jena Malone and Joanna Newsom. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the comedy sequel Dumb and Dumber To directed by Peter & Bobby Farrelly and starring Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Kathleen Turner, Laurie Holden, Rob Riggle, Rachel Melvin and Steve Tom. The film’s original music is composed by the electronic music duo Empire of the Sun. WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring music from the duo, as well as songs by Eels, Natural Child, Lissie, Firefall, Franz Ferdinand, Jake Bugg, The Dahls and more. Also opening wide is the drama Beyond the Lights written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nate Parker, Minnie Driver, Richard Colson Baker (“MGK”) and Danny Glover. Relativity Music Group has released a soundtrack album featuring the original song Grateful written by Academy Award-nominated songwriter Dianne Warren and performed by Rita Ora, as well as songs by artists including Mavado feat.
