Quartet Records has announced the world premiere official soundtrack release for the 1972 thriller Frenzy directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Jon Finch, Alec McCowen, Barry Foster, Billie Whitelaw, Barbara Leigh-Hunt, Anna Massey, Bernard Cribbins and Vivien Merchant. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Ron Goodwin (Where Eagles Dare, Squadron 633, Battle of Britain), as well as the (completed) unused score composed and conducted by Henry Mancini (The Pink Panther, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Santa Claus: The Movie, The Thorn Birds, Charade).

‘Adventures in Babysitting’ & ‘Candleshoe’ Digital Soundtrack Albums Released
Walt Disney Records has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for Touchstone Pictures’ 1987 teen comedy Adventures in Babysitting directed by Chris Columbus and starring Elisabeth Shue, Keith Coogan, Anthony Rapp and Maia Brewton. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Die Hard, X-Men, Band of Brothers, Lethal Weapon), as well as the songs Babysitting Blues performed by Albert Collins, Shue, Maia Brewton, Coogan & Rapp and Just Can’t Stop by Percy Sledge. Expanded ‘Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1969 comedy Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies (aka Monte Carlo or Bust!) directed by Ken Annakin and starring Tony Curtis, Terry-Thomas, Dudley Moore, Peter Cook, Bourvil, Mireille Darc, Marie Dubois, Lando Buzzanca, Gert Fröbe and Jack Hawkins. The 2-CD set features the complete original score from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Ron Goodwin (Where Eagles Dare, Squadron 633, Frenzy), including over 45 minutes of previously unreleased music. Also included are several versions of the title song by Jimmy Durante. The 50th Anniversary Special Edition soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples.
Maurice Jarre’s ‘The Setting Sun’ Score to Be Released
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the Japanese 1992 drama The Setting Sun directed by Rou Tomono and starring Masaya Kato, Diane Lane and Yuen Biao. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award winner composer Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Ghost, Doctor Zhivago, Witness, Good Morning Vietnam). Lalo Schifrin’s ‘F/X2’ Score to Be Released
Quartet Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1991 action thriller sequel F/X2 directed by Richard Franklyn (Psycho II, Link) and starring Bryan Brown and Brian Dennehy. The album features the film’s original score written and conducted by Academy Award-nominated composer Lalo Schifrin (Mission: Impossible, Enter the Dragon, Bullit, Rush Hour) who followed Bill Conti who scored Robert Mandel’s original 1986 film. The soundtrack features Schifrin’s complete score in film order. Complete ‘Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country’ Score by Cliff Eidelman Released
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the complete score for the 1991 sci-fi movie Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Cliff Eidelman has composed the music for the film directed by Nicholas Meyer and starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley and Christopher Plummer. The 2-CD set features the complete score written by the composer on one disc and the original 1991 soundtrack album on the other disc. Also included are several alternates plus both trailer scores, to date the only original trailer music recorded for a Star Trek film. ‘Wrongfully Accused’ Soundtrack announced
Intrada Records has announced a sountrack album for the 1998 comedy spoof movie Wrongfully Accused. The album is limited to 1500 copies and features more than an hour of the original score by Bill Conti. To listen to audio clips from the score and order the CD, visit Intrada’s online store. Wrongfully Accused stars Leslie Nielsen as Ryan Harrison, who is framed for murder and must prove himself innocent by finding a mysterious one-eyed, one-armed, one-legged man after escaping from a bus accident on the way to jail.
