‘Still Alice’ Soundtrack Announced

still-aliceNettwerk has announced a soundtrack release for the indie drama Still Alice. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, The Young Victoria, The Invisible Woman, Layer Cake). Also included is a cover of Lyle Lovett’s If I Had A Boat by British musician Karen Elson, which plays during the film’s end credits. The soundtrack will be released on January 13, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Click here to listen to a couple of tracks from the score. Still Alice is directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland and stars Julianne Moore who received a SAG Awards and Golden Globe nomination for her performance last week. Kristen Stewart, Alec Baldwin, Kate Bosworth and Hunter Parrish are co-starring. The movie follows a linguistics professor who is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. The thriller takes place a year after the first part and follows the Four Horsemen who find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet. The film is directed by Joe Swanberg (Drinking Buddies, Happy Christmas) and stars Jake Johnson, Rosemarie Dewitt, Orlando Bloom, Brie Larson, Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick. The movie follows a husband and wife who discover a bone and a gun, which leads them to separate adventures over the course of a weekend. Swanberg has also co-written the screenplay with Johnson. The film is directed by John Crowley (Boy A, Intermission, Closed Circuit) and stars Saoirse Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent. The movie is based on the novel by Colm Toibin and follows a young Irish immigrant who is navigating her way through 1950s Brooklyn and must confront a terrible dilemma — a heartbreaking choice between two men and two countries, between duty and true love. Nick Hornby (About a Boy, High Fidelity) has written the screenplay. Finola Dwyer (Quartet, Severance) and Amanda Posey (An Education, Fever Pitch) are producing the project.
