Fiction Records will release a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Man Up. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Elbow, The B-52’s, The Nationals, Duran Duran, Whitesnake, Aaron Neville & more. Also included are selections from the movie’s original score composed by Dickon Hinchliffe (Winter’s Bone, Out of the Furnace, Last Chance Harvey) The soundtrack will be released on May 26, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is also available as an import on here. Man Up is directed by Ben Palmer and stars Lake Bell, Simon Pegg, Rory Kinnear and Olivia Williams. Abel Korzeniowski Wins BAFTA TV Craft Award for ‘Penny Dreadful’

Abel Korzeniowski was honored with his first BAFTA TV Craft Award for his music for Showtime’s Penny Dreadful at the the British Academy Television Craft Awards today at The Brewery, City of London. Producer Pippa Harris accepted the award on the composer’s behalf. A soundtrack album featuring selections of Korzeniowski’s score for the first season of the series is available on Varese Sarabande. The show also won awards for Production Design and Make Up & Hair Design. The other composers nominated in the Original Music category were John Lunn for Downton Abbey, Martin Phipps for The Honorable Woman and Richard Spiller for Life and Death Row – Execution. John Ottman and David Buckley are set to score the upcoming detective thriller The Nice Guys. The film is directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3, screenwriter of Lethal Weapon) and stars Russell Crowe, Ryan Gosling, Matt Bomer, Kim Basinger, Angourie Rice, Beau Knapp, Keith David and Margaret Qualley. The movie is set in 1970s Los Angeles and follows a down-on-his-luck private eye and a hired leg-breaker who must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. Black also co-wrote the script with Anthony Bagarozzi. Joel Silver (The Matrix, Die Hard, V for Vendetta, Sherlock Holmes) is producing the project through his Silver Pictures company.
