Kormac (The Diplomat, This Town, ProfessionalsRed ElectionTarrac) is the composer of the new BBC drama Dear England. The show is created by James Graham (Sherwood, Quiz) based on his play of the same title and stars Joseph Fiennes, Jodie Whittaker, Jason Watkins, John Hodgkinson, Daniel Ryan, Sam Spruell, Adam Hugill, Josh Barrow and Lewis Shepherd. The 4-part series follows former football player Gareth Southgate as he aims to start a new chapter with the England men’s team and – with the worst team track record for penalties in the world when he takes over as manager – tries to take England back to the promised land. Graham is also executive producing the project with Andy Harries (The Crown, Outlander) and Rebecca Hodgson (The Lady, This City Is Ours) for Left Bank Pictures, Jo McClellan (The Last Panthers, The Tunnel) for the BBC, as well as Rupert Goold (Judy, True Story) who also directed the first episode and Paul Whittington who directed the other three episodes, Dear England will premiere in the UK next Sunday, May 24 on BBC One and will also be available to stream on the BBCiPlayer.
