Lakeshore Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the Fox event series Wayward Pines. The album features selections from the show’s original score composed by Charlie Clouser (Saw, Numb3rs, Las Vegas, Resident Evil: Extinction). The soundtrack will be released on July 17, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Wayward Pines is executive produced by Chad Hodge & M. Charlie Mole has recently recorded his score for the upcoming British comedy Dad’s Army. The film is directed by Oliver Parker (Johnny English Returns) and stars Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Toby Jone, Tom Courtenay, Michael Gambon, Blake Harrison, Danny Mays, Bill Paterson, Sarah Lancashire, Alison Steadman, Mark Gatiss and Annette Crosbie. The movie based on the British TV series of the same title is set in 1944 as World War II is reaching its climax and follows the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard platoon dealing with a visiting female journalist and a German spy. The details of the Walt Disney Records Legacy Collection release for Pixar Studios’ 1995 feature Toy Story have been revealed. The album features the film’s complete original score and the movie’s original songs composed by Randy Newman (Monsters, Inc., A Bug’s Life, Cars, Seabiscuit, Avalon). Also featured on a second disc are various piano/vocal demos and instrumental versions of the songs. The 2-CD set will be released on July 10, 2015 to coincide with the film’s 20th anniversary and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The series follows a woman whose dashing surgeon fiancé has given her a desert island as a wedding present and travels to the island to wait for him, but meets a reclusive and misshapen author instead.
