Sony Pictures announced today that Imagine Dragons have contributed an original song for the sci-fi drama Passengers. The track, entitled Levitate, will be released as a digital single, this Friday, December 2 by Interscope Records. Listen to a clip from the song after the jump and visit Amazon to pre-order the track. A soundtrack album for the movie featuring the score by Thomas Newman will be released on December 16. Passengers directed by Morten Tyldum and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, Aurora Perrineau and Laurence Fishburne will be released nationwide on December 21.

Bruce Broughton’s ‘All I Want for Christmas’ Score to Be Released
Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack release for Paramount Pictures’ 1991 family comedy All I Want for Christmas directed by Robert Lieberman and starring Harley Jane Kozak, Jamey Sheridan, Ethan Randall, Thora Birch, Kevin Nealon, Lauren Bacall, Leslie Nielsen . The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Rescuers Down Under, Young Sherlock Holmes, Miracle on 34th Street, Lost in Space). Only six cues of the composer’s score have previously been released on the original 1991 soundtrack album. ‘No Pay, Nudity’ Soundtrack Released
Dogwood Lane Records has released a soundtrack album for the indie comedy drama No Pay, Nudity. The album features the film’s original music composed by Craig Richey (Friends with Money, Lovely & Amazing, The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. No Pay, Nudity is directed by Lee Wilkof and stars Gabriel Byrne, Nathan Lane, Frances Conroy and Donna Murphy. The movie follows a middle-aged actor who has lost his way and returns to his hometown in Dayton, Ohio, to play the fool in “King Lear” and connects with an old girlfriend.

‘Sing’ Score Album Details
Back Lot Music will release a score album for Illumination Entertainment’s animated feature Sing. The album features the film’s original score composed by Joby Talbot (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Penelope, Closed Circuit, Son of Rambow). The soundtrack will be released on December 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, Republic Records will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie in two different editions.
Steve Moore Scoring Joe Lynch’s ‘Mayhem’
Steve Moore has recently composed the music for the upcoming indie action thriller Mayhem. The film is directed by Joe Lynch (Everly, Knights of Badassdom) and stars Steven Yeun, Samara Weaving, Steven Brand, Caroline Chikezie and Kerry Fox. The movie tells the story of a virus that infects a corporate law office on the day one of their attorneys is framed by a co-worker and wrongfully fired. Matias Caruso wrote the screenplay. Lawrence Mattis (Mr. Right, Hellbenders), Matt Smith (Trash Fire), Sean Sorensen and Mehrdad Elie are producing the project.

Premiering tonight is the Hallmark original movie I’ll Be Home for Christmas directed by James Brolin who also stars in the film with Mena Suvari and Giselle Eisenberg. The film’s original music is composed by William Ross (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, My Dog Skip, Ladder 49, Tuck Everlasting). The family drama follows an assistant District Attorney and single mom who has to deal with her estranged dad when he unexpectedly shows up at her door. Robert Lydecker Co-Scoring ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’
Following last month’s news of Brian Tyler recording his score for the action sequel xXx: Return of Xander Cage, it has been revealed that Robert Lydecker has co-scored the movie with the composer. Tyler and Lydecker are also working together on the music for the Fox series Sleepy Hollow, which will return for a third season in 2017. Tyler is reportedly also collaborating with Kill the Noise and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello on an original song for xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The movie directed by D.J. Caruso and starring Vin Diesel, Deepika Padukone, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Toni Collette, Donnie Yen, Kris Wu, Michael Bisping, Tony Jaa and Samuel L. Jackson will be released nationwide on January 20, 2017 by Paramount Pictures.
‘The Queen of Spain’ Soundtrack Released
Atresmúsica has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish comedy drama The Queen of Spain (La reina de España). The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Zbigniew Preisner (Three Colors series, When a Man Loves a Woman, The Secret Garden). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the fill album details. Quartet Records will release a physical version later this year. The Queen of Spain is written and directed by Fernando Trueba (Belle Epoque) and stars Penelope Cruz, Antonio Resines, Clive Revill, Mandy Patinkin and Cary Elwes.

The composer also co-wrote the movie’s original songs with Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) and Opetaia Foa’i.
