The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Amy Adams, Isla Fisher, Kim Basinger, Michael Shannon, Ellie Bamber and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The movie is based on the 1993 novel Tony And Susan by Austin Wright and follows a woman who receives a book manuscript from her ex-husband, a man whom she left 20 years earlier, asking for her opinion.
