a-madea-halloweenElvin Ross is reuniting with Tyler Perry on the upcoming comedy Boo! A Madea Halloween. The film is written and directed by Perry who also stars in the film, alongside Cassi Davis, Patrice Lovely, Lexy Panterra, Yousef Erakat, Andre Hall, Brock O’Hurn and Bella Thorne. The movie follows Madea as she winds up in the middle of mayhem when she spends a haunted Halloween fending off killers, paranormal poltergeists, ghosts, ghouls and zombies while keeping a watchful eye on a group of misbehaving teens. ‘City of Stars’ from ‘La La Land’ Released

city-of-starsInterscope Records has released the first song from the upcoming movie musical La La Land. The track, entitled City of Stars, is performed by Ryan Gosling, written by Justin Hurwitz (Whiplash) and features lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The song is now available to download on Amazon and is also featured in the movie’s first teaser trailer, which premiered today and is embedded after the jump. Interscope will release a full soundtrack album later this year. La La Land is written and directed by Damien Chazelle (Whiplash) and stars Gosling, Emma Stone, J. K. Craig Armstrong Scoring ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’

bridget-jones-babyCraig Armstrong is composing the original score for the upcoming comedy sequel Bridget Jones’s Baby. The film is directed by Sharon Maguire who previously directed the 2001 original film and stars Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, Patrick Dempsey, Jim Broadbent, Gemma Jones and Emma Thompson. The movie follows the title character as she finds herself pregnant and doesn’t know who the father is. Helen Fielding has co-written the screenplay with Thompson and Dan Mazer (Ali G Indahouse, I Give It a Year). deutschlandNeedlewood Records will release a soundtrack album for the German documentary Deutschland. Made in Germany (Deutschland. Dein Selbstporträt). The album features the film’s original music composed by Hauschka (Volker Bertelmann) (Lion, The Boy, In Dubious Battle), as well as the original song Another Day in Life by Hauschka & Graham Candy. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 15, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Deutschland. Made in Germany is directed by Sönke Wortmann (The Miracle of Bern, Pope Joan) who invited the people of Germany to film themselves on June 20 of last year, for anything ranging from just a few seconds to the entire day. The 8-parter follows the Navy SEAL Team Six,  whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists. The album features the songs from the film by the movie’s subject, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. The soundtrack will be released on August 19, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. Miss Sharon Jones! is directed by Academy Award winner Barbara Kopple (Harlan County, USA) and follows R&B queen Sharon Jones over the course of an eventful year, as she battles a cancer diagnosis and struggles to hold her band the Dap-Kings together. The documentary produced by Kopple & David Cassidy premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will be released in select theaters on July 29, 2016 by Starz Digital, followed by a digital, on-demand and home video release this fall. the-monkey-king-2Intrada Records has announced a soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure sequel The Monkey King 2. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Ghost Rider, The Shipping News, Entrapment, The Hurricane). The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. Intrada has previously released the composer’s music for the first part in the series. The Monkey King 2 is directed by Cheang Pou-soi and stars Aaron Kwok, Gong Li, Feng Shaofeng, Xiaoshenyang and Him Law. The movie tells the story of how the Monkey King protected the monk Xuanzang from being eaten by a shapeshifting demoness three times on a journey to collect the Buddhist sutras from India.
