WaterTower Music has released a new soundtrack album for the CW drama Arrow. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s fourth season composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Blindspot, Everwood, The Pacific). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The label has previously released soundtrack albums for the show’s first, second and third season. A physical version will be released on October 11 by La-La Land Records. Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album for Nate Parker’s historical drama The Birth of a Nation. The album features songs inspired by the film by artists including Nas, Gucci Mane & Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Trey Songz, Lecreae & Leon Bridges, Vic Mensa, Ne-Yo, Sir the Baptist & more. Sony Music will release a soundtrack album for the Britsh comedy A Street Cat Named Bob. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee David Hirschfelder (Elizabeth, Shine, Australia, The Railway Man, The Water Diviner). Also included are the original songs from the movie written by Charlie Fink (best known for fronting the indie band Noah and the Whale) and performed by lead actor Luke Treadaway. Hans Zimmer has signed on to score DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming feature The Boss Baby. The film is directed by Tom McGrath and features the voices of Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel and Lisa Kudrow. The movie is based on the book by Marla Frazee and follows a suit-wearing briefcase-carrying baby who pairs up with his seven-year old brother to stop the dastardly plot of the CEO of Puppy Co. The details of the soundtrack album for Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi drama Arrival have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed and produced by Johann Johannsson (The Theory of Everything, Sicario, Prisoners) who worked with several singers and vocal ensembles and combined both classical and avant-garde elements in his compositions for the project. Among those appearing are the Theatre of Voices, conducted by Paul Hillier, and artists such as Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe and Hildur Guonadottir. Also included is Max Richter’s piece On the Nature of Daylight, as featured at the beginning and end of the movie.
