Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the fantasy adventure comedy A Minecraft Movie directed by Jared Hess and starring Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, Sebastian Eugene Hansen and Jennifer Coolidge. The film’s original score is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The Royal Tenenbaums, The LEGO Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21/22 Jump Street). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by Black, Bret McKenzie, Dayglow, Dirty Honey, Jamieson Shaw & BENEE last Friday. Also opening wide is the horror comedy Hell of a Summer directed by Finn Wolfhard & Billy Bryk and starring Fred Hechinger, Abby Quinn, Wolfhard & Bryk themselves, Adam Pally, Pardis Saremi, Rosebud Baker, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai and Krista Nazaire. Jay McCarrol (BlackBerry, The Kid Detective, The Dirties, Operation Avalanche) has composed the film’s original score. A soundtrack album is expected to be released in the coming weeks by Lakeshore Records. This week, Keegan DeWitt (A Teacher, Sorry for Your Loss, Love Again, Divorce, Gemini, Morris from America) has been recording his score for the upcoming Netflix original film People We Meet on Vacation. The movie is directed by Brett Haley and stars Tom Blyth, Emily Bader, Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Jameela Jamil, Alice Lee, Lukas Gage, Miles Heizer, Tommy Do, Alan Ruck and Molly Shannon. The romantic comedy drama based on Emily Henry’s bestselling novel of the same title follows two unlikely best friends living in different cities who have been spending every summer vacation together for a decade, when they start to question their friendship and wonder if they could be the perfect romantic match. ‘The Bondsman’ Soundtrack Album Released

The album features the show’s original songs produced by Tim Lauer and written & performed by lead actors Kevin Bacon & Jennifer Nettles. The Bondsman is created by Grainger David and also stars Damon Herriman, Maxwell Jenkins,  Jolene Purdy and Beth Grant. ODESZA’s ‘Severance’ Remix Companion EP Released

Foreign Family Collective has released Music To Refine To: A Remix Companion to Severance. The EP features seven remixes by the electronic music duo ODESZA of themes and the score from the Apple TV+ original series composed by Emmy Award winner Theodore Shapiro. The record is now available to stream/download on all major digital services, including Amazon. A vinyl edition will be coming out on June 20 and is now available for pre-order here. Stones Throw Records will release a soundtrack album for the dramatic thriller The Luckiest Man in America. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Carroll Kirby (Cryptozoo). The track written by the show’s score producer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, His Dark Materials, Black Widow, Top Gun: Maverick, The Wheel of Time) and spoken word artist Joseph Roberts is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon.
