Premiering tomorrow, February 27, is the ABC mini-series When We Rise created by Dustin Lance Black and starring Guy Pearce, Mary-Louise Parker, Rachel Griffiths, Michael K. Williams and Ivory Aquino. The show’s themes and music are composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland) and Chris Bacon (Source Code, Bates Motel). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring a suite from the composers’ score, as well as songs by Jordan Fisher, Fancy, Brandi Carlile and Zella Day. Also premiering tomorrow is the NBC drama Taken developed by Alexander Cary based on the Luc Besson-produced feature of the same title and starring Clive Standen, Jennifer Beals, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Gaius Charles, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert and Jose Pablo Cantillo. Trevor Morris (Vikings, Immortals, The Borgias, Olympus/London Has Fallen) is composing the show’s original music.
