Lakeshore Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the USA original series Mr. Robot. The album features more music from the show’s second season composed by Mac Quayle (American Horror Story, Feud: Bette and Joan, American Crime Story, Scream Queens) who received his first Emmy Award for his work on the drama’s first season. James Seymour Brett has composed the original music for the upcoming animated feature Here Comes the Grump. The movie is directed Andrés Couturier and features the voices of Lily Collins, Ian McShane and Toby Kebbell. The film follows a teenager with a vivid imagination who finds himself magically transported via his Grandma’s retro theme park to the land of Groovynham where he meets a princess. Danny Elfman confirmed during a press interview promoting his Danny Elfman’s Music From the Films of Tim Burton concert in Mexico City later this month that he will be reuniting with director Tim Burton on the upcoming live-action adaptation of Disney’s Dumbo. The movie starring Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito and Alan Arkin is based on the studio’s 1941 animated classic of the same title about the young elephant with extraordinarily large ears who develops the skill to fly. Ehren Kruger (The Ring, Arlington Road, Scream 3) wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project with Katterli Frauenfelder, Derek Frey and Justin Springer (Prom). The album features the film’s original music composer by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Allegiant, Straight Outta Compton, Earth to Echo, The Raid: Redemption). In A Circle Records will release a new soundtrack album for the PBS docu-series The Vietnam War. Tthe album features traditional and popular Vietnamese songs, arranged by members of The Silkroad Ensemble with Yo-Yo Ma, as well as improvisations inspired by the documentary. Also included is an instrumental rendition of We Shall Overcome performed by multi-instrumentalist Vanessa Van-Anh Vo, and Grammy-winning rising star of Folk, Sarah Jarosz. Toydrum (aka Pablo Clements and James Griffith) have been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi thriller Future World. The film is directed by James Franco (The Disaster Artist) & Bruce Cheung (Don’t Come Back from the Moon) and stars Milla Jovovich, Suki Waterhouse, Lucy Liu, Snoop Dogg and Method Man. The movie is based on original short story by Franco about a prince and a robot who travel across the violent and desolate Wastelands in a journey of self-discovery. Cheung and Jay Davis co-wrote the screenplay. Iervolino Bacardi and Monika Bacardi (o the Bone, Black Butterfly) are producing the AMBI Distribution production with Vince Jolivette (Palo Alto, In Dubious Battle) and Davis.
