John Jennings Boyd (Being Evel, A Lego Brickumentary, How High 2, 40 Years a Prisoner) & Eric V. Hachikian (Marco Polo, When We First Met, Life of a King) have teamed up to score the upcoming animated movie event Batman: Knightfall – Part 1. The film is directed by Jeff Wamester (Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earth, Green Lantern: Beware My Power) and stars Anson Mount as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Michael Mando as Bane and Pablo Schreiber as Jean-Paul Valley/Azrael. The first part of a trilogy follows the Caped Crusader as he is pushed to his mental and physical breaking point when the mysterious behemoth known only as Bane frees Batman’s entire Rogue’s Gallery from Arkham Asylums. Jeremy Adams (Justice League: World War II & Warworld) wrote the screenplay based on characters from the DC Comic Book event of the same title. Rick Morales serves as the supervising producer of the DC and Warner Bros. Animation production. Sam Register and Michael Uslan are executive producing the project. The composers have previously scored Warner Bros. Animation’s Mortal Kombat Legends: Scoprion’s Revenge, Battle of the Realms & Snow Blind. Batman: Knightfall – Part 1 will be released later this year on VOD, 4K Ultra HD and DVD by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
