‘Blind’ Soundtrack Announced

Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the drama Blind. The album features the film’s original screo composed by Amy Lee, Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer. Also included are songs by Sasha Lazard, Jake Baine, Ann Hampton Callaway, Johnny Farro and Matt Rocker and the Constituents. The soundtrack will be released digitally on Friday, January 26 and can now be pre-ordered on AmazonBlind is directed by Michael Mailer and stars Alec Baldwin, Demi Moore and Dylan McDermott. The movie follows a novelist blinded in a car crash which killed his wife who rediscovers his passion for both life and writing when he embarks on an affair with the neglected wife of an indicted businessman. ‘Black Lightning’ Main Title Theme Released

WaterTower Music has released the main title theme from the new CW drama Black Lightning. The track is performed by Godholly and is now available as a digital single, which also includes the song Power from the pilot episode The Resurrection. Visit Amazon to download the single. A full soundtrack album is expected to be released after the show concludes its first season later this year. Heather McIntosh (Compliance, Z for Zachariah) is reteaming with director Riley Stearns on the upcoming comedy The Art of Self-Defense. The film is written and directed by Stearns and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Imogen Poots and Alessandro Nivola. The movie is set in the world of Karate and centers on a man who is attacked at random on the street and enlists in a local dojo in an effort to learn how to defend himself. ‘Deep’ Soundtrack Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for the animated feature Deep have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Fernando Velazquez (The Orphanage, The Impossible, Mama, Hercules, A Monster Calls, Devil). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 19 by Quartet Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A CD version will also be released later this month. Deep is directed by Julio Soto Gúrpido and features the voices of Justin Felbinger, Stephen Ezra Hughes, Lindsey Alena, Elisabeth Catherine Gray, Anna Vocino and Dwight Schultz. Joseph Bishara revealed in a recent interview with Dread Central that he is set to compose the music for the upcoming horror thriller The Children. The film is directed by Michael Chaves and stars Linda Cardellini, Sean Patrick Thomas and Patricia Velasquez. The movie follows a social worker who, while investigating the mysterious disappearance of two children, discovers her own family might also be in jeopardy. Mikki Daughtry & Tobias Iaconis wrote the screenplay. David Holmes (Ocean’s trilogy, Out of Sight, Logan Lucky, Hunger, ’71) is scoring the upcoming BBC American original series Killing Eve. The show is created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Crashing) and stars Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, David Haig, Kim Bodnia, Darren Boyd, Sean Delaney, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Owen McDonnell. The thriller centers on two women: a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 officer whose desk job doesn’t fulfill her fantasies of being a spy, and a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. Will Bates is composing the music for the upcoming Hulu original series The Looming Tower. The show is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book of the same title by Lawrence Wright and stars Jeff Daniels, Tahar Rahim, Michael Stuhlbarg, Peter Sarsgaard, Wrenn Schmidt, Bill Camp, Louis Cancelmi, Virginia Kull, Ella Rae Peck and Sullivan Jones. The drama traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA during that time may have inadvertently set the path for the tragedy of 9/11. Nathan Whitehead has been hired to score the upcoming thriller He’s Out There. The film is directed by Dennis Iliadis (The Last House on the Left) and stars Yvonne Strahovski, Justin Bruening, Anna Pniowsky, Abigail Pniowsky, Julian Bailey and Ryan McDonald. The movie follows a mother who comes to visit a remote lake house, and finds herself fighting for the lives of herself and her two daughters after falling into a terrifying and bizarre nightmare conceived by a homicidal psychopath. Mike Scannell wrote the screenplay. Bryan Bertino (The Strangers) and Adrienne Biddle (The Monster, Mockingbird) are producing the project for Unbroken Pictures.  Read the rest of this entry »

Hrishikesh Hirway announced on Twitter that he has composed the original score for the upcoming Netflix original series Everything Sucks!. The show is created by Ben York Jones (Like Crazy, Breathe In) & Michael Mohan and stars Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Peyton Kennedy, Patch Darragh, Claudine Nako, Sydney Sweeney, Elijah Stevenson, Quinn Liebling and Rio Mangini.
