Nathan Whitehead has been hired to score the upcoming thriller He’s Out There. The film is directed by Dennis Iliadis (The Last House on the Left) and stars Yvonne Strahovski, Justin Bruening, Anna Pniowsky, Abigail Pniowsky, Julian Bailey and Ryan McDonald. The movie follows a mother who comes to visit a remote lake house, and finds herself fighting for the lives of herself and her two daughters after falling into a terrifying and bizarre nightmare conceived by a homicidal psychopath. Mike Scannell wrote the screenplay. Bryan Bertino (The Strangers) and Adrienne Biddle (The Monster, Mockingbird) are producing the project for Unbroken Pictures.  Read the rest of this entry »

Hrishikesh Hirway announced on Twitter that he has composed the original score for the upcoming Netflix original series Everything Sucks!. The show is created by Ben York Jones (Like Crazy, Breathe In) & Michael Mohan and stars Jahi Di’Allo Winston, Peyton Kennedy, Patch Darragh, Claudine Nako, Sydney Sweeney, Elijah Stevenson, Quinn Liebling and Rio Mangini. A soundtrack album will be released for the British comedy drama series The End Of The F***ing World. The album features selections of the original score and the original songs from the show composed by Blur’s Graham Coxon. The soundtrack will be released digitally on January 26, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The first track, Walking All Day, is already available to download. The End Of The F***ing World is based on Charles S. Forsman’s comic series of the same title and stars Jessica Barden, Alex Lawther, Steve Oram, Gemma Whelan, Wunmi Mosaku, Christine Bottomley, Navin Chowdhry and Barry Ward. RCA Records will release a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Love, Simon. The album features the songs from the movie by artists including Bleachers, Troye Sivan, Amy Shark, Khalid & Normani, The 1975, Brenton Wood, HAERTS, Whitney Houston & more. Jan A.P. Kaczmarek has been tapped to score the upcoming historical drama Paul, Apostle of Christ. The film is written and directed by Andrew Hyatt (The Last Light) and stars James Faulkner, Jim Caviezel, Olivier Martinez, Joanne Whalley and John Lynch. The movie tells the story of Paul, going from the most infamous persecutor of Christians to Jesus Christ’s most influential apostle. Christian Henson (The Devil’s Double, Triangle, Black Death, Tommy’s Honour) has composed the music for the new ITV mini-series Trauma. The 3-part psychological thriller is written by Mike Bartlett (Doctor Foster, The Town), directed by Marc Evans (Snow Cake, My Little Eye) and stars Adrian Lester, John Simm, Rowena King, Jade Anouka and Lyndsey Marshal. Premiering on Tuesday, January 16, is the new CW drama Black Lightning developed by Samil Akil & Mara Brock Akil based on the DC comic books character created by Tony Isabella & Trevor Von Eeden and starring Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain and Christine Adams. The show’s original music is composed by Kurt Farquhar (The King of Queens, MoeshaThe Perfect Game, Stitchers). Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for the Chinese action movie Operation Red Sea. The album features the film’s original music composed by Elliot Leung. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 2, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Operation Red Sea directed by Dante Lam is a follow-up to the 2015 hit feature Operation Mekong and stars Zhang Yi, Du Jiang, Huang Jingyu, Hai Qing and Prince Mak. The movie follows the Jiaolong Assault Team, one of the special forces of the world’s largest military force, People’s Liberation Army, who are leading a unit to evacuate Chinese residents from a North African republic in the throes of a coup d’état. The digital single features The 4/20 Song written by the show’s composer Joseph LoDuca (The Evil Dead, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, Ash vs Evil Dead) who recorded the track with the Hollywood Studio Orchestra and Singers. Opening in most theaters is the family movie Paddington 2 directed by Paul King and starring Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Hugh Grant, Brendan Gleeson, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton and Ben Whishaw. The film’s original score is composed by Dario Marianelli (AtonementPride and PrejudiceKubo and the Two StringsDarkest Hour).
