The full details of the soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Basmati Blues have been revealed. The album features the original songs from the movie written by Pearl Jam, Sugarland, Siddhartha Khosla (of Goldspot), Dave Baerwald, Sonu Nigam, the film’s composer Steven Argila & others and performed by the movie’s cast. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, February 9, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Basmati Blues is co-written and directed by Danny Baron and stars Brie Larson, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Scott Bakula, Saahil Sehgal, Tyne Daly and Donald Sutherland. Vampire Weekend member Ezra Koenig and director Will Gluck have co-written an original song for the new family comedy Peter Rabbit. The track, entitled I Promise You, is featured in three different versions in the movie, including a version performed by James Corden (voice of the film’s lead character) and produced by Greg Kurstin, another one performed by Shana Halligan, Katharine Hoye, Fletcher Sheridan & Chris Mannas and produced by the film’s composer Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, Free Birds), as well as demo version performed by Koenig himself. Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album for the French thriller Revenge. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob (Horns, Maniac, Amityville: The Awakening, Planetarium, Populaire). The soundtrack will be released physically on February 12, 2018. Revenge is written and directed by Coralie Fargeat and stars Matilda Lutz and Kevin Janssens. Premiering tonight is the third installment in the Cloverfield series, The Cloverfield Paradox directed by Julius Onah and starring David Oyelowo, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris O’Dowd, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang and Daniel Brühl. Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Colossal, Happy Death Day) who previously scored 2016’s 10 Cloverfield Lane has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album is in the works and will be released by the composer’s label Sparks & Shadows. Premiering on Thursday, February 8, is the Crackle original movie In the Cloud directed Robert Scott Wildes and starring Nora Arnezeder, Gabriel Byrne, Justin Chatwin, Tomiwa Edun and Laura Fraser. The sci-fi thriller follows two estranged tech geniuses who reunite after the death of their mentor to devise a VR technology to extract a terrorist’s memories. The only movie opening nationwide this week is the horror thriller Winchester directed by Peter & Michael Spierig and starring Helen Mirren, Jason Clarke, Sarah Snook, Angus Sampson and Finn Scicluna-O’Prey. Peter Spierig (Predestination) has also composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the score is in the works and will be announced soon. The movie tells the story of the woman who began building the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California upon advisement from a medium. The film is being released by CBS Films/Lionsgate. Opening in limited release following an awards-qualifying run last year is the drama A Fantastic Woman directed by Sebastián Lelio and starring Daniela Vega and Hector Lavoe. The film’s original music is composed by Matthew Herbert (Life in a Day, Disobedience). Milan Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by Vega and Hector Lavoe.
