Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the fantasy comedy sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, Catherine O’Hara, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti and Willem Dafoe.  The film’s original score is composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice in Wonderland, Edward Scissorhands, Avengers: Age of Ultron). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s main title theme and end credits track, as well as the songs from the movie by artists such as Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Richard Marx, Tess Parks & others today. Also opening wide is the psychological horror thriller The Front Room directed by Max Eggers & Sam Eggers and starring Brandy Norwood, Kathryn Hunter, Neal Huff and Andrew Burnap. Marcelo Zarvos (The Equalizer 3, May December, Fences, Emancipation, The Good Shepherd, Wonder, The Affair, Ray Donovan) has composed the film’s original music. A24 Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Todor Kobakov (Born to Be Blue, The Samaritan, Backstabbing for Beginners, Tricksters, Most Dangerous Game, Sweetness in the Belly) has provided the original score for the upcoming Canadian post-apocalyptic thriller 40 Acres. The film is directed by R.T. Thorne (Utopia Falls) and stars Danielle Deadwyler, Kataem O’Connor, Michael Greyeyes, Leenah Robinson, Milcania Diaz-Rojas, Jaeda LeBlanc, Elizabeth Saunders, Haile Amare and Tyrone Benskin. The movie is set in a future where food is scarce and follows the last descendants of a Black family of farmers who settled in Canada after the American Civil War who must protect their homestead from an organized militia hell-bent on taking their land. ‘Betrayal’ Soundtrack Album Released

MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the British thriller Betrayal. The album features the film’s original music composed by Max Aruj (The Ice Road, The Tank) & Steffen Thum (Slingshot, Stockholm Bloodbath) who previously co-scored Crawl, iBoy, among other titles. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composers’ title track after the jump. Betrayal is co-written and directed by Rodger Griffiths and stars Paul Higgins, Brian Vernel, Daniel Portman, Calum Ross, James Harkness, Anita Vettesse and Joanne Thomson. Danny Elfman to Score Luc Besson’s ‘Dracula: A Love Tale’

Actor Christoph Waltz has revealed in a recent interview with Collider that Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland) will be scoring the upcoming gothic horror movie Dracula: A Love Tale. The film is directed by Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element) and stars Caleb Landry Jones in the title role, alongside Waltz, Matilda De Angelis, Zoë Bleu Sidel and Haymon Maria Buttinger. The new adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic novel tells the story of 15th century Prince Vladimir who cursed God following his wife’s death and is turned into a vampire, and decades later discovers his wife’s doppelgänger in London. Quality Control Music & Motown Records have released the original song If I Fall from the animated feature Transformers One. The track co-written (with Nicholas James McGuinn & Justin Andrew Lay) and performed by Quavo, Ty Dolla $ign and the film’s composer Brian Tyler (as Are We Dreaming) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. A full soundtrack album featuring Tyler’s original score will be released later this month by Milan Records. Transformers One is directed by Josh Cooley and stars Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm. Milan Records has announced a vinyl edition of the soundtrack album for Luca Guadagnino’s  Challengers starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist. The album featuring the film’s original score composed by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Gone Girl, Soul, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Mank), as well as the original song Compress / Repress is pressed on 180 gram black audiophile vinyl and includes a custom interior gatefold collage featuring on-set photos by photographer Alessio Bolzoni, a collectible set of three player trading cards featuring the three lead actors, as well as an exclusive Phil’s Tire Town bumper sticker.  The soundtrack is set to be released on November 1, 2024 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The film is written and directed by José Avelino Gilles Corbett Lourenço and stars Douglas Booth, Alison Pill, Iris Apatow, Jaouhar Ben Ayed, Amrit Kaur and Patrick J. Adams. The movie based on Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s 1770s novella The Sorrows of Young Werther is set in modern-day Toronto and follows charmingly irresponsible and enthusiastic young man who finds himself at the mercy of a woman whose commitment to her fiancé Albert turns his life upside down. Accidental Editions has released a soundtrack album for the British supernatural folk horror drama Starve Acre. The album features the film’s original score composed by Matthew Herbert (The Wonder, Disobedience, A Fantastic Woman, The Beast Must Die, Gloria Bell, The Responder, The Cave, Temple). Also included is the original song Let Me In in two different version performed by lead actor Matt Smith and Crewdson & Cevanne.
