Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the fantasy comedy sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice directed by Tim Burton and starring Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, Catherine O’Hara, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti and Willem Dafoe.  The film’s original score is composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, BatmanThe Nightmare Before Christmas, Alice in Wonderland, Edward ScissorhandsAvengers: Age of Ultron). The film is directed by R.T. Thorne (Utopia Falls) and stars Danielle Deadwyler, Kataem O’Connor, Michael Greyeyes, Leenah Robinson, Milcania Diaz-Rojas, Jaeda LeBlanc, Elizabeth Saunders, Haile Amare and Tyrone Benskin. The movie is set in a future where food is scarce and follows the last descendants of a Black family of farmers who settled in Canada after the American Civil War who must protect their homestead from an organized militia hell-bent on taking their land. Actor Christoph Waltz has revealed in a recent interview with Collider that Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland) will be scoring the upcoming gothic horror movie Dracula: A Love Tale. The film is directed by Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element) and stars Caleb Landry Jones in the title role, alongside Waltz, Matilda De Angelis, Zoë Bleu Sidel and Haymon Maria Buttinger. The new adaptation of Bram Stoker’s classic novel tells the story of 15th century Prince Vladimir who cursed God following his wife’s death and is turned into a vampire, and decades later discovers his wife’s doppelgänger in London. Quality Control Music & Motown Records have released the original song If I Fall from the animated feature Transformers One. The track co-written (with Nicholas James McGuinn & Justin Andrew Lay) and performed by Quavo, Ty Dolla $ign and the film’s composer Brian Tyler (as Are We Dreaming) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. A full soundtrack album featuring Tyler’s original score will be released later this month by Milan Records. The film is written and directed by José Avelino Gilles Corbett Lourenço and stars Douglas Booth, Alison Pill, Iris Apatow, Jaouhar Ben Ayed, Amrit Kaur and Patrick J. Adams. The movie based on Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s 1770s novella The Sorrows of Young Werther is set in modern-day Toronto and follows charmingly irresponsible and enthusiastic young man who finds himself at the mercy of a woman whose commitment to her fiancé Albert turns his life upside down.
