Amazon Content Services has released Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Rocky, a new EP featuring three tracks from the score for the 1976 classic composed by Academy Award winner Bill Conti (The Right Stuff, The Karate Kid, The Thomas Crown Affair, For Your Eyes Only, Masters of the Universe). The 3-track EP features the Rocky Medley, the “theme song” Gonna Fly Now (feat. lyrics by Carol Connors & Ayn Robbins) and Fanfare for Rocky and is now available to stream/download now on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Decca Records will release the official soundtrack album for LAIKA Studios’ animated feature Wildwood. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Kubo and the Two Strings, V for Vendetta, Darkest Hour, Anna Karenina, The Boxtrolls, Paddington in Peru, Bumblebee). Also included is the original song The Better Part of Bravery by The Decemberists. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 23 and physically in the following weeks. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1978 classic ABC sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica created by Glen A. Larson and starring Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, Lorne Greene, John Colicos, Maren Jensen, Herbert Jefferson Jr., Noah Hathaway, Tony Swartz, Laurette Spang, Terry Carter and Anne Lockhart.
