Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1978 thriller sequel Jaws 2 directed by Jeannot Szwarc and starring Roy Scheider, Lorraine Gary and Murray Hamilton. The album features the film’s newly remastered original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, HarryPotter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Schindler’s List, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Catch Me If You Can, Home Alone). The 2-CD set, which includes the complete score and bonus tracks (including some newly discovered alternates) on the first disc and the remastered 1978 soundtrack album on the second disc, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and check out the full album details, visit the label’s official website. The label has previously released an expanded soundtrack release for the title back in 2015, while MCA Records has released the original 1978 soundtrack album. The remastered version of the 1978 album will also be released digitally this Friday, October 2 by Universal Music Enterprises/Geffen Records. Jaws 2 is now available on VOD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.
