Lyle Workman is composing the original score for the upcoming comedy Bad Santa 2. The film is directed by Mark Waters and stars Billy Bob Thornton, Kathy Bates, Christina Hendricks, Tony Cox, Brett Kelly, Ryan Hansen, Jenny Zigrino and Jeff Skowron. The movie follows the title character who teams up once again with his angry little sidekick, Marcus, to knock off a Chicago charity on Christmas Eve. Johnny Rosenthal & Shauna Cross (If I Stay, Whip It) have written the screenplay. Geyer Kosinski (Fargo, Bad News Bears) and Andrew Gunn (Sky High, Bedtime Stories) are producing the project. ‘Abattoir’ Soundtrack Released

Filmtrax has released a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Abattoir. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Sayfritz (Dark Tide, Dean Man Running, Until Death). The soundtrack is now available on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Abattoir is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II-IV, Repo! Expected to top the weekend box office is the western The Magnificent Seven directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Byung-Hun Lee and Peter Sarsgaard. The film’s original music is composed by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Braveheart) and Simon Franglen. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score.
