Premiering tomorrow, May 13 is the Spectrum Original series L.A.’s Finest based on the Bad Boys feature franchise and starring Gabrielle Union, Jessica Alba, Zack Gilford, Duane Martin, Ryan McPartlin, Sophie Reynolds and Ernie Hudson. The show’s original music is composed by Laura Karpman (Underground, Step, Set It Up, Paris Can Wait, Taken, Black Nativity). Premiering on Tuesday, May 14, is the HBO documentary What’s My Name: Muhammad Ali directed by Antoine Fuqua about the boxing legend’s greatest triumphs and comebacks. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Good Shepherd, The Affair, Ray Donovan, Enough Said) has composed the film’s original music. ‘Enemy Within’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Notefornote Music will release a soundtrack album for the World War II drama Enemy Within. The album features the film’s original music composed by Nainita Desai (The Confessions of Thomas Quick, Darkness Visible). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 24 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Enemy Within is written and directed by Gabriel Robertson and stars Joseph Naufahu, Kazuma Sano, Beulah Koale, Rila Fukushima and Melissa Paulo. The movie is based on a true story and follows a Japanese pilot who crash-lands on the tiny Hawaiian island of Niʻihau and is met with courtesy and traditional Hawaiian hospitality from the locals – until they discover he was part of the recent attack on Pearl Harbor. Elliot Leung to Score Dante Lam’s ‘The Rescue’ & ‘Warriors of Future’

Elliot Leung is composing the music for the upcoming Chinese action thriller The Rescue. The film is directed by Dante Lam (Operation Mekong, The Stool Pigeon, The Sniper) and stars Eddie Peng, Xin Zhilei, Wang Yanlin, Lan Yingying, Xu Yang, Li Mincheng and Wang Yutian. Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:

Opening in most theaters is the action adventure Pokémon Detective Pikachu directed by Rob Letterman and starring Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton and Ken Watanabe. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, X-Men: First Class). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (click here for the full album details). Also available now is the original song Carry On performed by Kygo and Rita Ora (click here for more information).

Also opening wide is the comedy The Hustle directed by Chris Addison and starring Anne Hathaway, Rebel Wilson and Alex Sharp. Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, American History X, Poldark, Elle, The Crying Game) has composed the film’s original score. Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Andrew Lockington Scoring Netflix’s ‘Daybreak’

This week, Andrew Lockington has been recording his music for the first episodes of the upcoming Netflix original series Daybreak. The show is created by Aron Eli Coleite & Brad Peyton and stars Matthew Broderick, Colin Ford, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Sophie Simnett, Austin Crute, Gregory Kasyan, Krysta Rodriguez, Cody Kearsley and Jeanté Godlock. The comedy drama is based on the graphic novel by Brian Ralph and follows a teenage outcast who searches for his lost love in a post-apocalyptic world full of zombies and Mad Max-style gangs. ‘A Dog’s Journey’ Soundtrack Details

Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the drama A Dog’s Journey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (Crash, Once Upon a Time, The Accountant, A River Runs Through It, Quiz Show, 42) and featuring piano solos by Emily Bear. Also included is the original song Fearless by Abby Anderson. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, May 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. A Dog’s Journey is directed by Gail Mancuso and stars Kathryn Prescott, Betty Gilpin, Dennis Quaid, Henry Lau, Marg Helgenberger and Josh Gad as the voice of dog Bailey. ‘The Silence’ Soundtrack Released

Königskinder has released a soundtrack album for the horror thriller The Silence. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tom Hajdu of tomandandy (47 Meters Down, The Strangers, The Mothman Prophecies, Resident Evil: Retribution, The Rules of Attraction). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Silence is directed by John R. Leonetti and stars Stanley Tucci, Miranda Otto, Kiernan Shipka and John Corbett. The movie follows a teen and her family as they seek refuge outside the city and encounter a mysterious cult with the world under attack by deadly creatures who hunt by sound. ‘Outlander’ Season 4 Soundtrack Details

The full details of the new soundtrack album for the Starz original series Outlander have been revealed. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on May 31 by Madison Gate Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Fraser’s Ridge) is being released as a digital single today (click here to download). The label has previously released soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score from the first three seasons of the series. Outlander is created by Ronald D. Soundtrack Album for Amazon’s ‘Sneaky Pete’ to Be Released

Madison Gate Records will release the first soundtrack album for the Amazon original series Sneaky Pete. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Emmy Award nominee Nathan Barr (True Blood, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, The Americans, Hostel, Cabin Fever) and Stephen Lukach. Also included is the main title theme song Harder Out Here by The Bright Light Social Hour, which has previously been released as a digital single. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 10 and will be available to download here. Sneaky Pete is created by David Shore & Bryan Cranston and stars Giovanni Ribisi, Marin Ireland, Margo Martindale, Shane McRae, Libe Barer, Michael Drayer and Peter Gerety. ‘Booksmart’ Score Album Details

Lakeshore Records will release a score album for Olivia Wilde’s feature directorial debut Booksmart. The album features the film’s original music composed by hip hop producer Dan the Automator. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Booksmart stars Kaitlyn Dever, Beanie Feldstein, Jessica Williams, Will Forte, Lisa Kudrow and Jason Sudeikis. The movie follows two academic superstars and best friends who – on the eve of their high school graduation – suddenly realize that they should have worked less and played more and set out on a mission to cram four years of fun into one night.
