Joey Stephens has composed the music for the upcoming comedy drama Flower. The film is directed by Max Winkler (Ceremony) and stars Zoey Deutch, Kathryn Hahn, Tim Heidecker, Adam Scott, Joey Morgan and Dylan Gelula. The movie centers on the unlikely bond that forms between a sexually adventurous teenage girl and her obese, mentally unstable step-brother. Winkler also co-wrote the screenplay with Alex McAulay and Matt Spicer (Ingrid Goes West) who is also producing the project with Eric B. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is Disney’s live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast directed by Bill Condon and starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen, Audra McDonald and Emma Thompson. The film’s original music is composed by Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin). He also wrote the movie’s classic songs with Howard Ashman and the new songs with lyricist Tim Rice. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album in two different editions. Click here for the details of both the regular and deluxe edition.
Also opening wide is the horror thriller The Belko Experiment directed by Greg McLean, written and produced by James Gunn and starring Tony Goldwyn, John Gallagher Jr., Adria Arjona, Michael Rooker, John C McGinley, Sean Gunn and Melonie Diaz. Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, 300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead) has composed the film’s original score. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as two songs performed by Jose Prieto and Gabriela Teran. WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album for Zach Braff’s crime comedy Going in Style. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob Simonsen (Foxcatcher, The Spectacular Now, Nerve, (500) Days of Summer) who previously scored Braff’s Wish I Was Here. Also included are songs by Dean Martin, Otis Redding, Jamie Cullum, Sonny Rollins, Mark Ronson, A Tribe Called Quest & more. Lorne Balfe has composed original music for the upcoming film adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. He is credited as the film’s composer alongside Clint Mansell who was previously announced as the movie’s composer. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the film’s score later this month. The sci-fi adventure is directed by Rupert Sanders and stars Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbaek, Takeshi Kitano, Juliette Binoche and Michael Pitt. Sam Phillips and Eric Gorfain have scored the Amazon Studios pilot The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The show is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and stars Rachel Brosnahan, Michael Zegen, Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub and Marin Hinkle. The drama is set in 1958 Manhattan tells the story of Miriam “Midge” Maisel whose perfect life suddenly takes an unexpected turn. Sherman-Palladino has also directed the pilot and is executive producing the project with Daniel Palladino. The full details of the soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s The Boss Baby have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, Inception, The Dark Knight) and Steve Mazzaro (Bullet to the Head). Paramount Pictures will release a soundtrack album for the film adaptation of Ghost in the Shell. The album features music inspired by the movie by artists including new tracks by DJ Shadow, Gary Numan, Johnny Jewel, Above & Beyond and Tricky. Also included is Steve Aoki’s remix of Kenji Kawai’s Utai IV: Reawakening, which is already available as a digital single. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 31, 2017 and can now be pre-ordered on Amazon. Soundtrack for Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ to Be Released

Marvel and ABC Studios will release a soundtrack album for Marvel’s Netflix original series Iron Fist. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Trevor Morris (Immortals, Olympus/London Has Fallen, Vikings, The Tudors, The Borgias). Also included is Anderson .Paak’s Come Down. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 17 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples.
