Sony Music will release the official soundtrack album for the drama Blinded by the Light. The album features the songs from the movie by Bruce Springsteen. Also included are two tracks from the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours), as well as songs by Pet Shop Boys, a-ha & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on August 9, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Blinded by the Light is directed by Gurinder Chadha and stars Viveik Kalra, Hayley Atwell, Rob Brydon, Kulvinder Ghir, Nell Williams, Dean-Charles Chapman and Aaron Phagura. The movie is set to the music and lyrics of Springsteen’s timeless songs and tells the story of a British teen of Pakistani descent, growing up in the town of Luton, England, in 1987 who writes poetry as a means to escape the intolerance of his hometown and the inflexibility of his traditional father. Premiering tonight is the National Geographic documentary Apollo: Missions to the Moon directed by Tom Jennings about the United States’ remarkable journey to land on the Moon before 1970. The film’s original music is composed James Everingham for Bleeding Fingers Music and produced by Hans Zimmer & Russell Emanuel. Also premiering tonight is the CNN docu-series The Movies executive produced by Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman & Mark Herzog and featuring interviews with Steven Spielberg, Julia Roberts, Ron Howard, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, among others. Blake Neely (Arrow, The Flash, Riverdale, Into the West, Life As We Know It) & Nathaniel Blume (The Seventies, The Eighties, Deception) have composed the show’s original music. Composer Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, John Wick, 300, The Punisher, Watchmen) is reteaming with Genndy Tartakovsky on the upcoming Adult Swim animated series Primal. he is co-scoring the project with Joanne Higginbottom. The show revolves around a caveman at the dawn of evolution and a dinosaur on the brink of extinction who become the only hope of survival in a violent, primordial world. Little Twig Records has announced a soundtrack album for the HBO documentary I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation, A-X-L, Animals, My Blind Brother, The Gospel According to André). The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 12, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon and iTunes. EuropaCorp will release the official soundtrack album for Luc Besson’s action thriller Anna. Also included is Beauty Freak’s song My Beauty. The soundtrack will be released overseas digitally next Wednesday, July 10 and physically a few days later. Also included are three tracks from Russo’s score for Short Treks. The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
