Robert Folk (There Be Dragons, The NeverEnding Story 2, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Toy Soldiers, Nothing to Lose, Maximum Risk) has been tapped to score the upcoming thriller Just Play Dead. The film is directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, GoldenEye, The Mask of Zorro) and stars Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Green, Maria Pedraza, Eoin Macken and Jason Fernandez. The movie follows a criminal mastermind who plans to fake his death for a massive insurance payout while framing his wife’s surfer lover for his murder, only to discover that the wife is planning to kill him for real to claim the fortune herself. Dan Gordon (The Hurricane, Wyatt Earp) wrote the screenplay. Head Gear Films’ Phil Hunt (War on Everyone, Freeheld), Gemstone Films’ Valentin Dimitrov & Moshe Diamant (Timecop, Sudden Death) and Mario Reinach are producing the project. Just Play Dead will be released in theaters by Highland Film Group & Vertical and is currently awaiting a release date.
