Premiering tonight is the new Epix original series Pennyworth developed by Bruno Heller based on DC characters created by Bob Kane & Bill Finger and starring Jack Bannon, Paloma Faith, Ben Aldridge, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett, Ryan Fletcher, Jason Flemyng and Polly Walker. The show’s original music is composed by David Russo (Gotham, Nikita, The Tomorrow People). Check out our previous news article to learn more about the drama, which will air Sunday nights on Epix.

Premiering on Wednesday, July 31, is the spy thriller The Red Sea Diving Resort written and directed by Gideon Raff and starring Chris Evans, Haley Bennett, Michael K. Williams, Michiel Huisman, Alessandro Nivola, Greg Kinnear and Ben Kingsley. Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, The Good Dinosaur, Storks, Capote, Little Miss Sunshine) has composed the film’s original music. ‘Adolescence’ Soundtrack Released

Deutsche Grammophon has released a soundtrack album for the coming-of-age drama Adolescence. The album features the film’s original music composed by Peter Gregson (A Little Chaos, Blackbird). Adolescence is co-written and directed by Ashley Avis and stars India Eisley, Mickey River, Romeo Miller, Tommy Flanagan, Elisabeth Rohm, Jere Burns, Ever Carradine, Michael Milford and John Driskell Hopkins. The movie follows a shy teenager who falls in love with a beautiful, enigmatic runaway and is lured away from his bland life and into her vibrant and unpredictable world. Zack Ryan Scoring Starz’s ‘Leavenworth’

Zack Ryan (I Smile Back, Malibu Rescue, Pitching Tents) is composing the original music for the upcoming Starz docu-series Leavenworth. The show is executive produced by Steven Soderbergh (Traffic, Erin Brockovich, Ocean’s Eleven), Paul Pawlowski & David Check and tells the controversial true-crime story of Clint Lorance who is serving a 19-year sentence for murder at The United States Penitentiary, Leavenworth. ‘Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans’ Soundtrack Released

Decca Records has released a soundtrack album for the British comedy Horrible Histories: The Movie – Rotten Romans. The album features the songs from the movie performed by cast members including Kate Nash, Emilia Jones, Ruper Graves & others. Also included is the film’s original score composed by Richie Webb (who is also scoring the Horrible Histories TV series), Matt Katz and Iain Farrington. The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the comedy drama Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Al Pacino. The film doesn’t feature an original score. Mary Ramos serves as the project’s music supervisor. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring tracks by Deep Purple, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Revere & The Raiders Buffy Sainte-Marie & others today. Opening in limited release is the drama Skin written and directed by Guy Nattiv and starring Jamie Bell, Vera Farmiga, Danielle Macdonald, Mike Colter and Bill Camp. Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, The Good Doctor, Easy) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. ‘For Sama’ Soundtrack Released

The album features the film’s original music composed by Nainita Desai (Enemy Within, The Confessions of Thomas Quick, Darkness Visible). For Sama is directed by Waad al-Kateab & Edward Watts and tells the story of Waad al-Kateab’s life through five years of the uprising in Aleppo, Syria as she falls in love, gets married and gives birth to Sama, all while cataclysmic conflict rises around her. Lakeshore Records & Invada Records will release a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Luce. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow (Annihilation, Ex Machina, Hanna, Free Fire). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 2 and is now available to download on Amazon. Luce is directed by Julius Onah and stars Kelvin Harrison Jr., Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer and Tim Roth. The movie based on J.C. Lee’s play of the same title and centers on a former child soldier living in a suburb and his relationship to a teacher who becomes aware of his views on political violence. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Adam Crystal (The Dawn Wall, Those People). Bonding is created by Rightor Doyle and stars Zoe Levin, Brendan Scannell, Micah Stock, D’Arcy Carden, Eric Berryman and Theo Stockman. Craig Armstrong’s Music for the Films of Peter Mullan to Be Released

CMA Records will release a new compilation soundtrack album featuring several scores from the films of director Peter Mullan composed by Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Love Actually, Romeo & Juliet). Among the titles included are the composer’s scores for 1998’s Orphans, 2002’s The Magdalene Sisters, 2010’s Neds, as well as his music for the shorts Good Day for the Bad Guys and Fridge.
