Premiering tonight is the Epix original series Godfather of Harlem created by Chris Brancato & Paul Eckstein and starring Forest Whitaker, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ilfenesh Hadera, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, Nigél Thatch, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Lucy Fry, Paul Sorvino, Giancarlo Esposito and Rafi Gavron. The show’s original score is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, The Accountant, Once Upon a Time). Epic Records has released the drama’s main titles song Just In Case performed by Swizz Beatz, Rick Ross & DMX and will release a full soundtrack album soon (click here for more details).

Also premiering tonight is the Fox animated comedy Bless the Harts created by Emily Spivey and starring Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell and Ike Barinholtz. Andrew Sherman (Game Day, A Very Serious Person) is composing the show’s original music and has also composed the theme. Madison Gate Records has released the first soundtrack album for the AMC original series Preacher. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Dave Porter (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Blacklist, Flesh and Bone). The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon Music, where you can also check out audio samples. Preacher is developed by Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen based on the comic book franchise of the same name and stars Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Anatol Yusef, W. Nord-Ouest Films has released a soundtrack album for the French drama In the Name of the Land (Au nom de la terre). The album features the film’s original music composed by Thomas Dappelo. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. In the Name of the Land is directed by Edouard Bergeon and stars Guillaume Canet, Veerle Baeten and Anthony Bajon. Kathryn Bostic (Dear White People, Middle of Nowhere, Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am) has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original movie Holiday Rush. The film is directed by Leslie Small (Kevin Hart: What Now?) and stars La La Anthony, Romany Malco, Deon Cole, Sonequa Martin-Green, Darlene Love and Tamala Jones. The only movie opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the animated feature Abominable directed by Jill Culton and starring Chloe Bennet, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Albert Tsai, Eddie Izzard, Sarah Paulson and Michelle Wong. The film’s original score is composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Hacksaw Ridge, The Legend of Tarzan). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as songs by Bebe Rexha, Phil Beaudreau, Coldplay & others. Click here for the full album details.

Opening semi-wide in around 450 theaters is the biographical drama Judy directed by Rupert Goold and starring Renee Zellweger, Jessie Buckley, Finn Wittrock, Rufus Sewell and Michael Gambon. Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain) has composed the film’s original score. A soundtrack featuring the composer’s music will be released next month and will be announced soon. Will Blair and Brooke Blair (Green Room, Blue Ruin, Hold the Dark, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore) are scoring the upcoming thriller The Silencing. The film is directed by Robin Pront (The Ardennes) and stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Annabelle Wallis and Hero Fiennes Tiffin. The movie centers on a reformed hunter who becomes involved in a deadly game of cat and mouse when he and the local sheriff set out to track a vicious killer who may have kidnapped his daughter years ago. Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1997 action thriller Air Force One directed by Wolfgang Petersen and starring Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, Glenn Close, Xander Berkeley, William H. Macy and Dean Stockwell. The album features the expanded original score from the movie composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Chinatown, Patton). 14th Street Music has released a soundtrack album for the Chinese family drama Looking Up. The album features the film’s original score by Steffen Thum (Crawl, iBoy, Warning Shot). Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, Gemini Man) has composed the main theme. A soundtrack album will be released for the horror thriller The Curse of Buckout Road. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grammy Award nominee Ryan Shore (Prime, The Shrine, Star Wars Forces of Destiny, Julie’s Greenroom). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 27 and will be available to download/stream here. The Curse of Buckout Road is written and directed by Matthew Currie Holmes and stars Evan Ross, Henry Czerny, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Colm Feore and Danny Glover.
