WM China has released a soundtrack album for the Chinese action drama The Bravest. The album features the film’s original music composed by Peter Kam (Dragon, Cold War, Finding Mr. Right). The soundtrack is now available to stream on Amazon Music, where you can also listen to audio clips. Also available now is the movie’s title song performed by Lei Jia (click here to stream). The Bravest is directed by Tony Chan and stars Huang Xiaoming, Du Jiang, Yang Zi, Tan Zhuo and Zhang Zehan. The movie is based on the oil pipeline disaster that took place in China’s Liaoning Province in 2010 and follows a group of Chinese firefighters as they struggle to contain a huge fire after an oil pipeline explodes. Premiering tonight is the Epix original series Godfather of Harlem created by Chris Brancato & Paul Eckstein and starring Forest Whitaker, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ilfenesh Hadera, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, Nigél Thatch, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Lucy Fry, Paul Sorvino, Giancarlo Esposito and Rafi Gavron. The show’s original score is composed by Mark Isham (Crash, The Accountant, Once Upon a Time). Epic Records has released the drama’s main titles song Just In Case performed by Swizz Beatz, Rick Ross & DMX and will release a full soundtrack album soon (click here for more details).
Also premiering tonight is the Fox animated comedy Bless the Harts created by Emily Spivey and starring Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell and Ike Barinholtz. Andrew Sherman (Game Day, A Very Serious Person) is composing the show’s original music and has also composed the theme. The film’s original score is composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Hacksaw Ridge, The Legend of Tarzan). Opening semi-wide in around 450 theaters is the biographical drama Judy directed by Rupert Goold and starring Renee Zellweger, Jessie Buckley, Finn Wittrock, Rufus Sewell and Michael Gambon. Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain) has composed the film’s original score. Varese Sarabande has announced the latest titles in its CD Club series, including a deluxe edition soundtrack for the 1997 action thriller Air Force One directed by Wolfgang Petersen and starring Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, Glenn Close, Xander Berkeley, William H. Macy and Dean Stockwell. The album features the expanded original score from the movie composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Chinatown, Patton).
