Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the History original series Vikings. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s sixth and final season composed by Emmy Award winner Trevor Morris (The Tudors, The Borgias, Immortals, Olympus/London Has Fallen, Hunter Killer). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 6 and will be available to download here. The label has previously released three soundtrack albums for the drama’s first three seasons. Dustin O’Halloran and Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) have been hired to score the upcoming British drama Ammonite. The film is written and directed by Francis Lee and stars Kate Winslet, Saoirse Ronan, James McArdle, Alec Secareanu and Fiona Shaw. The movie is set in 1840s England and centers on an infamous fossil hunter and a young woman who are sent to convalesce by the sea and develop an intense relationship, altering both of their lives forever. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1978 sci-fi adventure Return from Witch Mountain directed by John Hough and starring Bette Davis, Christopher Lee, Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann. The album features the original music from the Walt Disney Pictures production composed by Lalo Schifrin (Mission: Impossible, Dirty Harry, Enter the Dragon, Rush Hour, Bullit). Back Lot Music will release a soundtrack album for DreamWorks Animation’s holiday special How To Train Your Dragon: Homecoming. The album features the music from the animated short composed by Anthony Willis (One Last Night, Knack II) who has previously contributed additional music to the last two How to Train Your Dragon features scored by John Powell. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 3 and will be available to stream/download here. Soundfile Records has released a soundtrack album for the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie A Christmas Love Story. The album features the film’s original music composed by Michael Baiardi (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills/New York, Jersey Shore, Teen Mom). Also included are the Christmas songs from the movie. The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon Music. A Christmas Love Story is directed by Eric Close and stars Kristin Chenoweth, Scott Wolf, Keith Robinson and Kevin Quinn. The movie revolves around a youth choir director who needs to write a big song for a Christmas Eve show but is distracted when a boy with a golden voice joins her choir. The film is directed by Claudia Llosa (The Milk Of Sorrow, Aloft) and stars María Valverde and Dolores Fonzi. The drama is based on the novel of the same title by Samanta Schweblin and tells a story of broken souls, toxins, looming environmental and spiritual catastrophes, and the ties that bind a parent to a child.
